Wasn't the "UltraSPARC T3" rebranded to "SPARC T3"? Tewner (talk) 19:37, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Benchmarks

edit

The referenced benchmarks seem to be quite poor to back up claims of world beating performance. The SPECjvm2008 claim seems to show it is better than an iMac from early 2009 - and is not yet published on the spec site [1]. The second Spec benchmark [2] is selective in how it chooses to make the claim - the actual results show it as having the 2nd highest result - the higher result using more application servers. But it is only around 20% better than an IBM machine with half the number of cores. For the internal Oracle benchmarks there does not appear to be any tables giving comparisons. noq (talk) 08:47, 29 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not all of the 36 available SPEC benchmarks were released on product launch, which a casual read of available SPEC benchmarks demonstrates is common with CPU models from vendors.

True or not this entry is not encyclopedic.83.100.252.216 (talk) 19:20, 27 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
