Mistakes in the Great school article

edit

There are certain differences between this one and the article on the same subject on the Serbian wikipedia. Actually, there are three articles on this subject there: The first Great school (1808-1813), The Belgrade lyceum (1838-1863), and The second Great school (1863-1905). Your article here makes a little confusion between the first and the second Great school, so it would be nice if these discrepancies were corrected. This way, the article provides some false informations.--Vitriden (talk) 12:55, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

University of Belgrade

edit

With that article, it was a new assessment, which I do for all articles add to the University WikiProject. With those I do a fairly quick skimming looking for key items. It is very accurate for the classification system, but it is not fool proof for providing an overall "where is this article at right now". So, the points I picked up on are that it has a fair amount of sources, but does need more. And more importantly, it needs more that are independent of the school, such as books, newspapers, journals, etc. Next, it is missing some standard sections such as campus and student life, see Wikipedia:College and university article guidelines for more details on content and format in general. Lastly, don't bookend text with images on either side, spread out the images, or cut some. Hope this helps. Aboutmovies (talk) 19:51, 7 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yugoslav Reparations

edit

Thanks for the fine article. I wondered if you had any more details about the Brandt-Tito agreement, specifically the Brion formula. I take Brion to be the Yugoslav location of the talks.

As a former danube swabian I am particularly interested in the decision by the FRG to provide reparations for the folksdojcer I was unaware that this had occured, since I live in the US, but there is apparently a new restitution bill before the Seian parliament and the discussions about this made me aware of the Brandt-Tito agreement. I am also led to understand that there was also an agreement with Austria, but I know of no details about that at all. Thanks for any further information you can supply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imersion (talkcontribs) 22:20, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Subotica Law School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Macedonia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikipedia:WikiProject University of Belgrade -> University of Belgrade task force

Why a WikiProject instead of a task force under WikiProject Belgrade and WikiProject Serbia? See WikiProjects that deal with science, technology, and engineering.--Zoupan 14:59, 26 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you named the project "University of Belgrade", then its purpose is to cover the University of Belgrade, not semi-random other things. If you want a more generic project, start one. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:03, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject

edit

Are you sure about new wikiproject? Maybe just task force? I am afraid about scope... :( --WhiteWriterspeaks 16:27, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

From your work I see that you are the expert here. I am not so much on Wikipedia, but I wanted to find a way to direct some more attention to the University of Belgrade and regional higher education issues. What is the difference between a project and a task force? I trust you know better ;) --Comparativist1 (talk) 17:26, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Well, wikiProject is used for massive scope, like countries, big lists, etc. This project can have big scope, if we include in that scope biographies of people who finished under this university. And WikiProject is opened indefinitely. Otherwise, task force is opened for some specific task, and can be closed after the task is done. Anyway, nothing if wrong, it can stay like WP, but ALL of the red link below the template should be created...

Template:WikiProject University of Belgrade

That is the small problem.. :) On the other side, University of Belgrade can (and is) under the scope of poor WikiProject Belgrade, that is almost inactive. So, that is my problem. I am all for having more WP's, but someone should work on them! :) Anyway, lets leave it! I already created few. You should continue! :) --WhiteWriterspeaks 20:42, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I see what you mean and I share your opinion - too many projects and too few people. :( I hope to work on the red links sometime soon - there's a lot of them :D Btw, there's also one person trying to insert a bot/alert, but reportedly it still needs some setting up. I have also somewhat extended the scope (see Other universities and schools) to attract users interested in higher education institutions in the region. Including the University of Belgrade alumni and faculty is a great idea!!! The only thing is that I am affraid to do it now. We would need more people to do that. And yes, I don't want this to be 'my project', I've just launched the thing. Hopefully people will become interested... Thanks for your valuable support!!! Pozdrav --Comparativist1 (talk) 21:00, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ah, see my contribution. I already established it. So, we will have to use it. Now, add {{WikiProject University of Belgrade|class=?????|importance=????}} (replace ???? with assessment) to the all related articles talkpages, so we can expand the scope, in order to allow establishment of assessment box. Pozdrav takođe... :)--WhiteWriterspeaks 21:07, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
And see this edit of mine. In this way you should assess all articles you see or create. That addition fills this table in your/our wikiproject. Class are quality, and Importance, as you see, Top, High, Mid, Low. Also, on the top of the talkpage add {{talkpage}}, it is useful for new users. :) --WhiteWriterspeaks 21:17, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Added AA. Will be in a few days, but we should tag the articles, and AA will be more efficient. It works only within tagged articles. --WhiteWriterspeaks 21:22, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hey, i have to tell you... If you are adding, add all other ones, with copy paste system, and just assessment add.

{{talkpage}}
{{WikiProjectBannerShell|1=
{{WikiProject Serbia|class=|importance=}}
{{WikiProject Belgrade|class=|importance=}} (if related)
{{WikiProject University of Belgrade|class=|importance=}}
}}

Then you are expanding all projects, with just one add... :) And dont worry, this can be done all the time. It is impossible to tag all of those at once.. :) --WhiteWriterspeaks 21:32, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a whole lot! I have done most of the stuff. These days when I have more time I will provide further input. I was also thinking of making user templates for students and graduates of other universities in Serbia (the ones that have a seal upoaded). What do you think, is it a good idea? --Comparativist1 (talk) 16:16, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I was unaware that the seal in not allowed to be used, so there would have to be alternative solutions. For the University of Belgrade I've used the flag of Belgrade, because it's similar.--Comparativist1 (talk) 16:54, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for File:Simaavramovic.jpg

Proposed deletion of File:Simaavramovic.jpg

edit

The file File:Simaavramovic.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
