Hi, I'm Leasnam. Of course that's not my real name. It's a coinage of mine taken from Old English roots meaning "false name" (lēas + nama). I have been studying the Old English language for many, many years now, but only as an amateur. My real-life degree is in Business and IT.
I am an administrator and contributor to English Wiktionary, and I work as an application and software developer in the United States. I currently live in the US, but I travel abroad often. My last trip was to see family in Venice, which I try and do at least once a year.
I am a proud relation/descendant of Robert Louis Stevenson on my father's side (my father's mother's mother was a Stevenson). Needless to say, I inherited at least some of his ability to write, though I do not enjoy doing that much. I am an incessant perfectionist, and I simply haven't got the patience for it any more.
Enough about me. I am not all that exciting. I love knowledge though, and knowledge sharing, which makes what I do here a joy. I'd rather edit than sleep.
