Hi Tony. I've changed your CSD A7 to G10 (attack). If you read on you will see that it contains some perverse insults. Cheers, --Kudpung (talk) 11:40, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I had intended to remove the line, but got distracted. My best to you. ttonyb (talk) 11:41, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mannchalay

Just need clarification on Mannchalay.Plot of TV Drama Serial was deleted by you and you said " You may use external websites or publications as a source of information" So I added a reference to a website from where that plot was taken. Hoever again it has been deleted. Dont understand, what am I doing wrong??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mshakeelbhatti (talkcontribs) 11:50, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a reference to the original work does not remove the copyright issue. It is still copied from the original text. You can either request permission to use the text - see the message in your talk page for help with that - or you can rewrite the text for use in the article. ttonyb (talk) 11:54, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kharne Question

Hello sir,
The word kharne was not "just made up one day", it has been and is used by 100,000's of gamers every day. I have seen terms such as "newb" and "pwned" also written about on wikipedia, which is of the same as kharne. A slang term. I urge you to reconsider your deletion of the topic. I rewrote the topic of Kharne much more thoroughly, if you could possibly read the last revision before deletion by another user it would be appreciated. I intend to find sources however I do not know if logs of conversations would be sufficient, however that non the less undermines the validity of the term.
Sincerly,

hollywood hip attire

hi ttonyb1,

I saw a message regarding the post for Hollywood Hip attire. Is there something that I need to change? Thanks for your help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashhtrey (talkcontribs) 04:32, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Probably the best thing to do is remove the reference to someone's wife and provide reliable sources to support the article. ttonyb (talk) 04:35, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On the articles.

The articles are already cited. See the link (http://www.telegraphindia.com/1071018/asp/careergraph/story_8445256.asp). Sidhu Jyatha (talk) 05:06, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The link is dead. ttonyb (talk) 05:07, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Funny enough. It was there just a few minutes ago. Wonder what happened? Sidhu Jyatha (talk) 05:11, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The link is available again. So please fee free to check the citation facts and remove the deletion tags. Sidhu Jyatha (talk) 06:58, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Johnson (Ohio politician)

I think by now it's obvious this is the first article I've tried to post on Wikipedia. I've only tried to do this because I couldn't find any article for Bill Johnson (Ohio politician)

I understand the copyright issues, but I have a question for you...

Since Bill Johnson does not have an article and his predecessor "Charlie Wilson (Ohio politician)" does what would the best course of action?

1) Wait until the U.S. Government posts an official picture and biography and link/cite information from that?

2) Cite his election page for now?

3) Let someone better at using Wikipedia handle it?

Thanks! Thwiang (talk) 15:02, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia! Please do not become frustrated. If I were you I would recreate the article citing the win and any info such as party, percent of vote, etc. I would also add any bio you have, but instead of copying the text you need to rewrite it in your own words. You also need to cite the text added using the Wikipedia reference format. If you have any questions, please let me know on my talk page. ttonyb (talk) 15:15, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chi-Ming Chow

Hi Tony, Could you please help me out so that I can understand the criteria in WP:BIO using reliable sources that you are citing? Do you have an email address I could use to correspond with you? Thanks, Ebrawer (talk) 22:55, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to leave your questions here. Thanks... ttonyb (talk) 01:09, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks. I guess I'm trying to understand why you are dismissive of the media articles that quote him as an authority regarding cardiovascular health issues as irrelevant, given that he is a cardiologist. As a spokesperson for Heart & Stroke, he is considered the go-to person in the Canadian media for all cardiovascular health issues amongst immigrant groups and the general public. So for example taking this article: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2010/04/19/heart-disease-ethnicity.html, we are talking about the risk of heart attacks amongst different ethnic groups. Heart attacks are most certainly a matter pertaining to cardiology. I hope this can help clear up any misunderstanding about the importance of his being quoted in these sorts of articles and it's pertinence to cardiology. I know that Wikipedia is a collaborative effort and so I hope I can learn to be a better part of the community going forward as I am new to this. I would like to build up the cardiology aspect of Wiki, and hopefully include more prominent individuals in the cardiology field. Even if we unfortunately end up disagreeing I would like to better understand your point of view. Ebrawer (talk) 04:13, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
