Fair use rationale for Image:Nocover.jpg

[edit]

Image:Nocover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Original research

[edit]

I went to the concert tonight in Washington, DC (Fairfax, really, but same diff). They announced the title as 4:13, said that it would be a double album, and played "The Perfect Boy." It was pretty good. There was a lot of rock and roll sound in tonight's show, songs like "Wrong Number", with more emphasis on guitars and bass lines than on pop sounds and the unending angsty lyrics of it all.

I'm not a Cure expert, so that's probably all the info I can offer. Also: If you get a chance to see them live, do it. They were great :) Deltopia (talk) 04:21, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Album title

[edit]

The Cure's thirteenth album does not yet have a verifiable title. The recent change to Dream 13/Dream Thirteen was on the basis of a blog entry which fails WP:SPS. A reliable source needs to be found before the article is moved to the album's correct title. --JD554 (talk) 09:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've undone the move on JD554's request and also deleted the intermediate step Dream 13. While I have no opinion on the provided sources, I'd suggest to gather consensus here before moving it to another title.--Tikiwont (talk) 13:16, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sentence removal

[edit]

Have removed the following sentence:

This marks the first time The Cure has played the majority of an album months before its release.

No-one knows how many tracks will be on the new album, so it's impossible to say that seven songs = "a majority". Furthermore, no-one knows what tracks will make the final album cut, aside from the four singles. --Manusmanus (talk) 09:10, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

The image that shows up is completely different from the one that appears on the image's page. What's with that? Zazaban (talk) 00:24, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's not for me. Have you tried bypassing your cache? --JD554 (talk) 08:08, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date formats

[edit]

As per accepted Wikipedia practice (see Category:FA-Class Album articles), non-North American albums should have the date in day month year format. This also complies with WP:DATE#Date. --JD554 (talk) 06:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC) [reply]
