Aksa (company) → Aksa – It took me a while to realise there was an article about this company. The mosque is spelt differently in English. Chidgk1 (talk) 13:40, 2 April 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 13:02, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- Comment other uses of "aksa" are located at al-Aqsa (disambiguation) -- 65.92.247.66 (talk) 08:48, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes I know that now but a year or 2 ago I did not so I got confused and missed adding this company’s coal-fired power station to the list I am trying to complete. As a native English speaker I don’t expect to have to search for al-Aqsa when researching companies called Aksa Chidgk1 (talk) 09:03, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Absolutely not! Although "Aqsa" is now a more common spelling than "Aksa" for the mosque, historically it was the other way around and even today "Aksa" is very common. In fact Aksa is the Turkish spelling of the mosque too. Use of "Aksa" for the mosque is still vastly more widespread than the name of this obscure Turkish company. Zerotalk 10:47, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- I don’t know about other languages but it seems unlikely that “Aksa” is used much for the mosque in English nowadays. Chidgk1 (talk) 11:26, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Search for "Aksa mosque" including the quotes. Lots of hits. Zerotalk 07:00, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- But how many of them are recent and in English? Chidgk1 (talk) 15:48, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Many. You can count them yourself. You should abandon this proposal because you are not getting any support. Zerotalk 02:30, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- I cannot see how to count recent ones because in both Google and Bing when I limit results to “past year’ the count disappears - also in Bing when I select a longer date range than a year - can you count recent ones? Chidgk1 (talk) 07:53, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

- Oppose per norm. Cfls (talk) 18:19, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- What do you mean “per norm” please? Chidgk1 (talk) 06:29, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Primary topic, and disambiguation tag should exist when there are multiple similar-name entries. Cfls (talk) 14:27, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
- So are you saying “Aksa” should be a disambiguation not a redirect? Chidgk1 (talk) 07:45, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- I would say to keep "Aksa" as a redirect to the compound, with the Aksa (disambiguation) page kept for DAB purposes. Cfls (talk) 12:44, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- OK good suggestion so I have done so https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Al-Aqsa&action=history and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aksa_(disambiguation)&diff=prev&oldid=1219557326 and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Al-Aqsa_%28disambiguation%29&diff=1219558457&oldid=1217013514 Chidgk1 (talk) 13:44, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Requested moves/Closing instructions are too complicated for me to understand - could you or someone else close this for me? Chidgk1 (talk) 13:48, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
