Almost total rewrite

[edit]

I now added the history of Bachmann USA based on the complete catalogs, informations from various magazines such as Model Railroader, information from researches by some N scale authorities, and years of Kader financial reports. Being able to read Chinese help a lot to figure out Kader's strategy and planning.

Merge Bachmann Branchline

[edit]

I propose that Bachmann Branchline be merged into this article. There's really too little there for it to stand as an article in its own right. --Ant 07:27, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think both articles are needed - The Bachmann Branchline now has information on what models they produce which. Zabdiel 12:57, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll work on the financial side of Branchline when I have time...I have to go through more than 10 years of Kader financial report. I really want to know why Dynamis was first introduced in the UK before the rest of the Bachmann companies. I want to figure out the logic and strategy of it. I have a mild suspicion that UK is a guinea pig, and that both the UK and Hong Kong use the same electric current/voltage system. Hence when all the bugs are fixed, a re-engineer effort can be done in Hong Kong easily without any voltage problem. We may soon see the new electronics plant in China start cranking out DCC systems. DCC and Liliput are the main focus of Kader during the last financial report. Alcatrazhack 12:17, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bachmann Industries Category

[edit]

Would a Bachmann Industries Category be a good plan? THe following could go in it?

That can be a huge can of worms, especially Kader, since Kader makes many many many different types of toys that has nothing to do with trains. It also involves with Real Estate deals and other non toy businesses. In fact, The majority net worth of Bachmann USA is actually its buildings and facilities....regardless of how insignificant they are since they no longer made the toys in Philadelphia, or the holdings (such as hotel resorts) have nothing to do with the actual toy business. Real Estate is still Real Estate.
