Usefulness of separate page?

[edit]

This page, itself a translation of es:Poder Ejecutivo de Honduras, seems a bit unnecessary (note: this might also be the case for the Spanish Wikipedia Entry). This is because:

  • The introductory section talks about the three branches of State governance, i.e. Legislature, Executive and Judiciary, based on the idea of Separation of powers. Based on this, the Article should be renamed to reflect this broader focus (à la Politics of the United Kingdom) (note, this already exists: Politics of Honduras. However, the subsequent headings do focus on Executive branch of the Hondurian government, which would suggest rewriting the introductory section is preferrably.
  • The second section, on the President of the Hondurian Republic, is near identical in content to President of Honduras.
  • The third section, on the governmental cabinet, is both unsourced (WP:PROVEIT) and needs reworking (more on general information about the appointment of ministers and creation of cabinets in Honduras, for example).
  • The fourth section, titled ′General Budget of Income and Expenditure′, is completely out of context. In the Spanish wiki entry, it refers to another wiki entry about the budget of the government of Honduras. Without this reference in the English wiki entry, the section seems completely out of left field.

Therefore, my question is: is it still worth it to copy-edit and source this wiki page, without substantial modifications? If not, the current article may not be up to par with Wikipedia's guidelines (?). --Talk2chun (talk) 23:46, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
