I removed the argument that Halifax's NDP voting patterns makes the NDP mainstream for the Maritimes as a whole. I think this is an invalid statement considering that the NDP currently hold no seats in either the New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island legislatures, only two in the Newfoundland & Labrador legislature, and only a single federal MP outside of Nova Scotia in the region.

[edit]The information in this section of the article is outdated, no longer true, and does not contain references. It should be substantially edited to reflect recent voting patterns in the HRM, or removed entirely. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.173.242.218 (talk) 21:21, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Government in Halifax vs Municipal Government of Halifax
[edit]Most places seem to have an article ABOUT the municipal government, not an article about the governments (3 levels) in the area. I wonder if this article should transition to that. Thoughts? WayeMason (talk) 01:34, 25 December 2016 (UTC)
