Equivalence of definitions

[edit]

The sentence "These three definitions are in fact equivalent for H-spaces that are CW complexes" is a bit misleading. I am pretty sure that it is not true that e is a unit as soon as it is a homotopy unit. Probably we have to adjust the multiplication µ (up to homotopy) in order to ensure that. ---oo- (talk) 18:03, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is S7 always involved in a (non-Lie) H-space that is a manifold?

[edit]

I seem to have learned at some point that if an H-space is a manifold but not a Lie group, then in some sense, the 7-sphere S7 is always involved.

But I don't know the exact statement.

If this is true, I hope that someone knowledgeable about this can include it in the article.
