I have adjusted the importance ranking from "Low" to "Mid". Although his playing career didn't amount to much, Altobelli managed three teams in the Majors and won a World Series ring as the skipper of the Orioles. Caknuck (talk) 19:24, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted an edit stating that Altobelli died on Jan 26, 2020, for two reasons: 1) I'm unable to find any corroboration, and 2) I suspect the user who made this edit has confused Joe Altobelli with John Altobelli, who died on that date in the helicopter crash that also killed Kobe Bryant and is apparently not related to the subject of this article.
