[edit]Wasn't there a storyline about a fifth street shark who sometimes helped out?
I don't know I remember there being a Whale. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.253.64.213 (talk) 21:55, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
i really liked that show. i wish it was back on. kitten03222Kitten03222 (talk) 19:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Incorrect Episode Lists
[edit]Does anyone have any idea as to why the episode summaries on TV.com completely contradict what actually happened in the show?
Also, it's been a long time, but I remember one of Piranoid's seaviates being a wimpy shrimp thing that came in later. Why isn't there information on him?--24.255.171.220 (talk) 14:08, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
This is a good point. My memories of Street Sharks do not jive with the TV.com summaries. I distinctly remember different episode names, Killamari being there much earlier and some sort of giant purple jellyfish. Not to mention the crossover with the Dino Vengers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.72.212 (talk) 22:03, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- The shrimp is Louie (he sort of popped out of the blue; no one I know can recall where he came from, which doesn't lend well when you want to write a mini-bio), the 'purple jellyfish' you're thinking of is probably Tentakil (also with the dubious we-can't-remember-straight origins), and yes, TV.com is very, very wrong; we're not sure how to fix it. IMDB suffers the same bad info, and the person who conceived the fake episodes is also tied to the fake character 'Roxie' (chica, fifth shark, didn't exist, no need to panic). We're also trying to scavenge the episode titles (should be 40; that's what DiC's website says), but the overall issue is their chronological order. ...We're lost on that. There's also the theory/rumor/tidbit that the series switched hands somewhere (meaning channels), and characters were swapped and dropped and added (which would explain Slash and Slobster being nowhere in the later half of the series). Not sure where one adds that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.168.59.74 (talk) 04:41, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
so there wasn't really a fifth shark? Babykitten03222 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Babykitten03222 (talk • contribs) 17:45, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, no "fifth shark". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 163.238.46.40 (talk) 18:45, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- There was a Mako shark guy who turned up in about 1 episode. He was a 5th shark, but he was a 1-off character and didn't appear in any other episodes. There probably should be more on the toyline around, but I'll be buggered if I can find anything other than this http://www.virtualtoychest.com/streetsharks/streetsharks.html Mecheon (talk) 11:08, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Rox was in at least two episodes: Shark'n'Roll and Shark Fight (his debut and his return respectively), and maybe one more (but all their allies were featured in less than five episodes; it's nothing surprising). Counting as a 'fifth shark' is debatable, as while he is a shark, he's never called such, and he doesn't 'fight' like every other ally does. Lover, not a fighter, yadda yadda. He's the only other shark mutant, hero or villain alike, but this isn't acknowledged in any way. Januarian Winter (talk) 04:55, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

All episodes on TV.com and most on IMDB are fake. I don't know who did it and how to fix it. The information in the current article is probably the only web source that got it right, since DIC website is down (it was on Flash, and so web archive can't retrieve it). Unfortunately, there's no fansites for Sharks, as they were quite unpopular series.
Is there something we can do to fix the situation? At least remove the link to broken secondary source, maybe? 89.208.114.177 (talk) 06:51, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Everyone please don't change the episode list to anything that IMDB or TV.com says. Both lists are inaccurate/fake as stated previously. I would know because I've seen the series. Obviously someone didn't get this message because the list was changed earlier this year. Hg3300 (talk) 21:33, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
http://www.geek.com/news/how-i-used-lies-about-a-cartoon-to-prove-history-is-meaningless-on-the-internet-1656188/ This is the guy behind the fake info on TV.com. Interesting read. Dzmien (talk) 10:55, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
- "The only place that’s still entirely accurate is Wikipedia, hilariously enough." ...or maybe it could be that we actually screen more than once a millennia, unlike TV.com or IMBD? lol Hg3300 (talk) 13:18, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
Ending
[edit]Can anyone please say how they finally defeat Piranoid, Slash, and Slobster in the final episode? Put it under the "Paradigm and his Seaviates" section. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 21:50, 9 December 2008 (UTC)Ghostkaiba297
- We don't have that info yet. Plus TheRedPenOfDoom deleted the character section. Rtkat3 (talk) 6:33, November 7 2013 (UTC)
Possible Vandilism?
[edit]Some of the basic figures have odd names, such as Moby Lick and Mecha-Shark. --24.34.206.195 (talk) 21:26, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Nope, they were certainly in the series, Moby Lick being a whale based Geneslammer and Mecha shark being a robotic shark used by Dr Piranoid in one episode, whereby he uses the robot shark to free repteel from prison. 94.196.70.80 (talk) 17:29, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Mr. Jordan Minor's vandalism
[edit]Apparently this guy has been lying about Street Sharks as part of "an ongoing social experiment" for years :-P There is a lot of bad information he's been feeding TV info sites, which has made it's way onto Wikipedia.
Quote from the AV Club "He invented characters, like “Dr. Paradigm” and “Roxie.” He claimed that the voice cast included Adam West and famed shark-jumper Henry Winkler. He created summaries for ridiculous episodes like “The Hot Chick” and “The Shiva Saga.” Minor watched in delight as his lies spread to IMDB entries and Wikipedia talk pages. “It was a fun creative exercise,” he says now, “trolling as antagonistic fan fiction.”"

For example, I'm certain Tony winning Broadway star Andrew Rannells did not voice any characters, especially since he was 15 when the show ended and it's not a part of his wiki page.
I feel like the story deserves a mention on the page, if only so people know that not all sources on Street Sharks may be accurate. This article would probably be a decent first citation; it's not from a particularly scholarly website, but it's a primary source. 172.78.78.186 (talk) 02:16, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
Legend of Korra stuff
[edit]I don't care enough to fix this myself, but for some reason someone put a bunch of references to The Legend of Korra on this page. Like half of the characters listed aren't really on this show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.178.30.87 (talk) 19:31, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the notice. Several recent additions from anonymous users were about characters from several unrelated series.Dimadick (talk) 07:46, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
Piranoid, not Paradigm, and no Moby Lick
[edit]Piranoid was the doctor's name, and there was no Moby Lick. That was created by a troll in an experiment to see how far fake news carries. See https://www.geek.com/tech/how-i-used-lies-about-a-cartoon-to-prove-history-is-meaningless-on-the-internet-165618 (Also no Roxie/female shark, nor Meathook) --2601:CC:4200:1D00:31AE:22A2:954C:2B5 (talk) 13:24, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- I've never heard of the "Roxie" hoax, but that doesn't matter since it wasn't in the last version of the article anyway. Moby Lick, however, was a legit character, so I had to revert on the spot. Also, Paradigm was the Dr.'s original name, but I'm unsure of whether its usage should carry over into the episodes where he largely retains his Piranoid form. Either way, your edits didn't make any sense. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 14:03, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- Reverted. If you actually read article, and others like it [1] [2] [3] [4], there was huge hoax and most of the Street Sharks information floating around is incorrect. There is no female character, never mind one named Roxie (there was a Rox). Henry Winkler and Adam West never voiced characters. And Paradigm was a complete fake name, as are the episode names and synopses tied to it. Plus, it's already been partially indicated on this talk page, FFS. --2601:CC:4200:1D00:31AE:22A2:954C:2B5 (talk) 15:05, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- You are talking absolute bullshit, and I've watched the show since twenty years ago. Dr. Luther Paradigm was stated as Piranoid's 'human' name throughout the series, and Moby Lick (the half-man/half-orca character) was a mainstay character. And I see no mention of West or Winkler in the article before you made your edits. I'll revert again, because your edits are now pure vandalism, or at least very misguided good faith. Have you even watched the show? Mac Dreamstate (talk) 15:24, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- Proof, from the episodes themselves:
- We're done here. However! I can see where the articles you linked to got their "information" from: a previous edition of this article from around May 2016, which did indeed contain some vandalism ("Roxie", etc.) Obviously that's since been amended. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 15:36, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
TV.com and IMDB are now accurate
[edit]I'm not sure when they were corrected but they appear to have the correct information aside from a minor inconsistency on IMDB "A group of teens turned into mutant sharks on rollerblades" (We all know there's only one shark on rollerblades) Hg3300 (talk) 21:22, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
finale Original air date
[edit]I am not familiar with the US broadcast information, but is the last episode "Shark-apolypse Now!" correct on May 18, 1997 as stated in this item, instead of the 1996 broadcast? Ss3162000 (talk) 16:04, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- If you look closely, the order of the stories is also strange. Season 2, "Jurassic Shark," was originally a Season 3 story, and I think the overall order is not accurate. Ss3162000 (talk) 17:53, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
