Trochoidea is a genus of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the subfamily Helicellinae of the family Geomitridae.[2] [3] The name means "those that are shaped like a top".

(The same name, Trochoidea is currently also used for a superfamily of sea snails with gills, a superfamily that includes the top shells, Trochidae, and the turban shells, Turbinidae.)
