John "JayJay" Birungi Babirukamu (August 26, 1984-)Computer scientist, Social media consultant, Web developer and Entrepreneur currently consulting for Data Care (U) Ltd & Imaginet Ltd. He has authored/developed several websites and web based systems including his own personal website, Babirukamu.com.

John was born to John Eric Babirukamu & Jolly Hope Babirukamu, in Mulago Hospital on the August 26th, 1984, as their 5th child and 3rd son following Emma Ahumuza Mugisha, Andrew Kataryeba (R.I.P), Pamela Babirukamu Kamujuni and Collin Mugasha Babirukamu.

John is a grandson to Andereya Kishokye of the Bahumbu-Bitira clan of the Bakiga Tribe, hailing from south-western Uganda.

John begun his formal education at Mackinon Kindergarten in Nakasero in 1988 and later joined Kitante Primary School in 1990 for his earlier primary school education. He later joined Greenhill Academy in 1994 and completed his primary education there in 1996.

He then joined Ntare School for his Ordinary level certificate training, though completing in Greenhill Academy. John was then enrolled at Migadde College for his Advanced Level Certificate training.

In 2003, on finishing his A'Level exams, John enrolled at the Aptech Education Centre in Kampala for an Ordinary Diploma in Information Systems Management. Later that year, he was enrolled at The Makerere University of Kampala for a degree in Computer Science, which he did not complete due to clinic depression.

In 2007, John enrolled at Sikkim Manipal University for a degree in Computer Applications.

On completion of his diploma in 2004, John joined Stak Communications Ltd as a web designer designing several websites using the L.A.M.P (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) technology. In 2006, John joined Jas SMS, an SMS content provider for ZAIN Uganda, as a Systems administrator and Chief Technical Officer. In May 2008, John joined Imaginet Ltd as a Business Development Manager, briefly acting as General Manager in 2010. John Currently works as a Business Development and Systems Analysis Consultant for Data Care (U) Ltd, Imaginet Ltd, Thoughtster solutions and Abano Design.

John is a Born Again christian, an ardent lover of music (was a member of 'God's Own', an Accapella group in which he sang Bass) and is currently unmarried without issue.
