Speedy deletion nomination of O.W.C.A.
[edit]A tag has been placed on O.W.C.A., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. PKT(alk) 17:52, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 24
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of fictional butlers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Man with the Golden Gun (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Please stop changing era styles. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you may be blocked from editing. Dougweller (talk) 08:04, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
The reason for this warning is that you are changing era style from BCE to BC. This is a violation of our guidelines at WP:ERA - if everyone decided to change articles to their favorite style we'd have unending edit wars. I'm assuming you weren't aware of our guidelines but please don't do it again. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 08:06, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

- Ditto for the following
- The Jamaican Exchange (Killmaster novel)
- Measle and the Mallockee
- A Calculus of Angels
- Newton's Cannon
- Fly by Night (Hardinge novel)
- Copyright violations are very serious on Wikipedia. Please stop. — Brianhe (talk) 18:15, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Edmond Driex, and thank you for your contributions!
I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, 278th Infantry Division (Germany), is copied from another Wikipedia page, 278th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht). It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:
- a link to the article you copied from
- the date you copied it
You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.
If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.
Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 23:17, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of 278th Volksgrenadier Division (Wehrmacht), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: 278th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 00:31, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

278 Division, again
[edit]I notice you put text on 278 Volksgrenadier Div and 278 Div (Germany) redirect pages which duplicate the text at 278 Div (Wehrmacht) page. Please don’t do that; if it is a redirect page the reader will be taken to the text on the target page and won’t see what is on the redirect at all, so it is a waste of space; while having links below a redirect causes confusion on the What Links function. I've deleted the text from these pages; if you have done this elsewhere can you put it right? Regards, Xyl 54 (talk) 22:37, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
Hello, Edmond Driex. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Bessledorf Mysteries, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Deunanknute (talk) 05:35, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
