WMLP (1380 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Milton, Pennsylvania. The station is owned by the Michael Radio Company, LLC, headed by Vic Michael.[3] It broadcasts a conservative talk radio format. Most of programming is from the Salem Radio Network, also carrying The Mark Levin Show from Westwood One.
By day, WMLP is powered at 1,000 watts non-directional. But at night, to protect other stations on 1380 AM from interference, WMLP greatly reduces power to 18 watts. Programming is also heard on 99-watt FM translator W233CP at 94.5 MHz.
History
[edit]The station signed on the air on October 22, 1955 . It originally was a daytimer, required to go off the air at sunset. In 1967, it added an FM station, 100.9 WMLP-FM.[4] Today that station is WVLY-FM.
Vic Michael acquired 1380 WMLP from Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation on February 21, 2020.
