- Evidence
Aslan119's userpage was created by Ryoung122. Aslan119 attempted to nominate Keeley Dorsey for deletion, just as Ryoung122 had previously. See: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Keeley Dorsey and Special:Contributions/Aslan119

Please explain what is 'wrong' with nominating an article for deletion...Aslan119 05:21, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to Wikipedia's official policy, 'sockpuppetry' is allowed
Multiple accounts may have legitimate uses, but users must refrain from using them in any way prohibited to sock puppets, and from using one account to support the position of another, the standard definition of sock puppetry.
It is my understanding that voting 'more than once' is a violation, which has not occurred.
The purpose of creating a second account is that my current account, Ryoung122, is too closely tied to my work regarding supercentenarians, and thus does not allow for a 'less serious' or 'fun' page:
[edit] Legitimate uses of multiple accounts Policy shortcut: WP:SOCK#LEGIT Multiple accounts have legitimate uses. For example, prominent users might create a new account to experience how the community functions for new users.
[edit] Segregation and security Some editors use multiple accounts to segregate their contributions for various reasons:
A user making substantial contributions to an area of interest in Wikipedia might register another account to be used solely in connection with developing that area.
In other words, my current account...Ryoung122...is based on my name (Robert Young), with '122' designating the age of the maximum proven human life span. Everything on the page is serious, career-oriented. It thus made sense to have a second account where one could express a different personality.Ryoung122 08:31, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Evidence:
I created the Aslan119 user page more than 24 hours earlier. It seems obvious from below:

- (cur) (last) 13:34, 8 November 2007 Ryoung122 (Talk | contribs) (31 bytes) (←Created page with 'Userboxtop')
That the intended purpose was to 'test out userboxes' and create a less-serious userpage that is not associated with my line of work. Clearly, editing or nominating Keeley Dorsey more than a day later was an afterthought, not an intentional evasion. In fact, I have attempted to nominate the article for deletion again using Ryoung122. So far, the issue seems to be technical/one of formatting: I have not yet figured out how to get a 'second nomination' formatted and so far, no one has been willing to help.Aslan119 08:46, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
I have to agree with Ryoung122 here, this seems to be a legitimate user of multiple accounts. If not, resubmit with more evidence. — Rlevse • Talk • 14:44, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Excellent. Had he admitted Aslan119 was an alternate account from the beginning, it wouldn't have been a problem. I'll remove the sock tags. I'd suggest Ryoung122 append {{User Alternate Acct}} and {{User Alt Acct Master}} to his accounts. Katr67 16:36, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Note, both later were blocked indef for other reasons. — Rlevse • Talk • 00:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
