Etymology

[edit]

From Quran +‎ -ist.

Noun

[edit]

Quranist (plural Quranists)

  1. An adherent of the Ahle Quran branch of Islam.
As any Quranist may tell you, only the first statement (لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ) is needed, while the other statement mentioning Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him – constitutes unnecessary shirk.
