Jacques Offenbach (Colonia, 20 de junio 1819 - Paris, 4[1] o 5[2] de octobre, 1880) era un compositor german-francese.
Su patre Isaac Offenbach (nate in Offenbach-am-Main e originalmente appellate Isaac Eberst), un hazzan (cantor liturgic judee) in un synagoga in Colonia, ma Jacques Offenbach deveniva un converso a Catholicism in 1844.[3]
