History
Fairyland is the dwelling of most of Avalon’s faeries under the rule of King Oberon. It is located deep within the Forest of a Thousand Sorrows to the north of the isle.[2] Fairyland Hillfort, the seat of power of Oberon, lies on the summit of a hill surrounded by woodlands.[3] Fairyland also houses Doorways to Other Universes, which are guarded by Oberon.[4]
On a certain occasion, MI13 stormed the Fairy Hillfort to pursue King Oberon, who had kidnapped a human child. Oberon teleported the MI13 agents to the Fairyland where they were ambushed by faeries. The conflict ended as Pete Wisdom agreed to marry Oberon’s daughter, Tink.[3] Most recently, when the Faerie Grimoire was stolen by the witch named Death Reaper, Pete Wisdom enlisted Gambit to retrieve the book. Death Reaper intended to use a spell to open a gateway from the Faerie Realm to Earth in order to release Orcs, Trolls and Ogres and cause a little trouble. After retrieving the Grimoire, Gambit spent two days in Fairyland, much to the fairies’ pleasure.[1]Points of Interest
