Notes

  • The Guardians of the Galaxy vote to expel Starhawk from their ranks.
  • Martinex decides to leave the team and Earth in order to pursue his vision of a truly galactic group of Guardians.
  • In this issue, Stakar, Aleta and a third entity appear to be struggling to control their shared body. Stakar claimed that it was the Hawk-God who had been controlling them[1] but Aleta later realized that that was a lie.[2]
  • After learning about the violent and ruthless street army known as the Punishers, Vance Asto realizes that they could only have learned about "Frank Castle" from his docu-chips about 20th century heroes, and he blames himself. However, Doctor Doom would later reveal to Rancor and her five surviving lieutenants that he had deliberately released Astro's docu-chips to "the proper criminal element" in order to trigger the formation of the Punishers so that they would divert the attention of the Commandeers and keep them from discovering that the Saltex Project refinery in the Bronx was the source of the drugged Realitee-Vee (RTV) holo-vids.[3]
