The Nameless Continent of the Pre-Cataclysmic Age was located eastwards from the Thurian continent and of the Lemurian Islands.[3] The "East Folk" living on the eastern shores of the Thurian continent were originated from there.[5]

Mayapan was a vast[6] and mysterious continent in the Western Hemisphere, beyond Antillia,[1] a "howling wilderness",[7] that became home to barbarian states founded by renegades from Atlantis and Antillia.[6]

Conan went on to explore it after battling the people of Ptahuacan,[1][6] and it is said he visited it.[2][8]

History

Pre-Cataclysmic Age[]

The Nameless Continent was a landmass in the Pre-Cataclysmic Age, and was located eastwards from the Thurian continent and of the Lemurian Islands.[4][3]

The mysterious, human, non-Thurian people,[3] the "East Folk", living on the eastern shores of the Thurian continent were originated from that shadowy and nameless continent.[5]

Hyborian Age[]

Mayapan was one of the colonies, along with Poseidonis and Zothique, established by Atlanteans after the Great Cataclysm on the east coast of the new continent formed from the upheaval of the Pictish islands as the mountain peak of a new continent.[5] Mayapan was a strange kingdom in that far-western continent.[8]

Conan was told by Metemphoc, King of Thieves in Ptahuacan, capital of Antillia, of the continent of Mayapan and of the barbarian states founded by renegades from Atlantis and Antillia (another remnant of Atlantis).[6]

On Antillia, as the constant sacrifices to Xotli were depleting the population, the priests looked for other sources of people to feed their god, and thus raided the shores of Mayapan, causing the locals to flee inland.[6]

Conan went on to explore it after battling the people of Ptahuacan,[1][6] and it is said he visited it.[2][8]

Post-Hyborian Cataclysm[]

The Post-Hyborian Cataclysm happened circa 8,000 BC virtually erased evidence of the existence of society developed on Mayapan (as well as on Antillia, Ptahuacan, Zothique, Opar, Avalon, and Ruta).[9]
