Ptahuacan was the capital[1] and only city on the archipelago of Antillia,[3][1] (a chain of seven large islands in the Western Ocean where fled thousands of Atlantean survivors from the Great Cataclysm[4] located southwest of sunken Atlantis and east of the land of Mayapan),[3] though legends told of the "Seven Cities of the Antilles".[4]
It was believed by the Antillians that they were the last surviving city of the Atlanteans on Earth,[4] through they spoke of barbarian states by renegades from Atlantis and Antillia on westward Mayapan.[5] Though, many other cities of Atlanteans existed, including the likes of Oroth on Zothique and Opar.
History
Origins[]
After the Great Cataclysm, survivors of Atlantis scattered on surviving islands, including Antillia and Ptahuacan,[6] which became the only city on the archipelago of Antillia,[3] and its capital.[1]
Hyborian Age[]
In Hyboria, there was telling of the "Seven Cities of the Antilles", made of brick of gold and streets paved with silver, though similar stories were told about Vendhya and Khitai, tales that proved wrong. Meanwhile, the Antillians themselves believed Ptahuacan to be the last surviving city of the Atlanteans on Earth.[4] Both statements appear to be erroneous.
Circa 10,000 BC, and perhaps earlier, the Antillians on the island of Metemhoc (or rather Ptahuacan, see notes) worshiped the Ahau,[2] seemingly including Kukulcan.[5]
Post-Hyborian Cataclysm[]
The Post-Hyborian Cataclysm happened circa 8,000 BC virtually erased evidence of the existence of society developed on Antillia and Ptahuacan (as well as on Avalon, Mayapan, Opar, Ruta, and Zothique).[6]

Notes
- Ptahuacan was created by L. Sprague de Camp and Lin Carter for Conan of the Isles (1968).
- The Antillian island of "Metemhoc" appear to be an error from the writers: Aside from the Ahau's profile in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z #14 (June, 2010), no island on Antillia has been referred to as "Metemhoc" in comics and other handbooks' profiles. Meanwhile, the character Metemphoc is mentioned in Marvel Graphic Novel: Conan of the Isles (1988) to have called Conan "Kukulcan" (one of the Ahau/Maya gods). In Kukulcan's profile at the Appendix to the Handbook of the Marvel Universe, the latter fact is recounted in the comments spelled, with Metemphoc spelled "Metemhoc", and could be the origin of the error.
