Synopsis for "The Soldier Who Wouldn't Die!"
Fury and the Howling Commandos drop down in the Bavarian Alps in Switzerland to investigate the rumors that Heindrich von Wilhelm Innsbruck, alias the Planner, is still alive despite being well over 100 years old.
When the Howler make it to the castle, Hawk Eyrie, they discover that Heindrich von Wilhelm Innsbruck is still alive but Prussian technology has turned the man into a cyborg. The Howlers defeat the Nazi presence and Izzy is ordered to sabotage the castle's laboratories causing it to explode as the Howlers make their escape, seemingly killing the Planner and all the Nazis that were inside.
Notes
- Despite implying that the Planner dies, Avengers 1959 #4 shows him alive after this story takes place.
