Synopsis for "Resurrection"

Elysius stood over Mar-Vell's grave and placed the Nega-Bands on it before lying down and sleeping next to it. Upon waking up, she was impaled with a staff.

Below the surface, Adam Warlock was destroying Mentor's laboratory after I.S.A.A.C. claimed that removing the Soul Gem was impossible. Adam Warlock flew to the surface out of rage after Mentor lectured him. Then, he found Elysius, lying next to Mar-Vell's grave, impaled with a staff with Drax's face on it, so he believed that Drax was responsible. At a bar, Gamora was rejecting the advances of another patron while Pip told the story of Adam Warlock before his ally appeared behind him. Adam spotted Gamora and kissed her before she punched him. Then, he revealed that he wanted her and Pip to help him find Drax.

On another planet, a female found someone impaled by a staff resembling the one that impaled Elysius. Somewhere else, Syphonn was informed that everything was going according to his plan. Back on Titan, Genis was late for his mother's funeral, blamed himself for her death, and learned that his father's body had been taken. Genis vowed revenge on his mother's killer.

On Ceti Alpha IV in the Vega Galaxy, a man walking a dog was impaled with a staff, making him the fifth victim. Adam Warlock sensed Drax on Ceti Alpha IV and landed on the planet. When they came upon the scene of the murder, an Interop officer asked Gamora and Pip to come with him, while Adam Warlock found and accused Drax, who claimed that he was not a murderer. Adam Warlock attacked Drax, starting a fight before they saw the walking corpse of Captain Marvel, who was holding a staff with Drax's face on it. They learned that Captain Marvel was the true murderer.
