Synopsis for "A Whiff of Sartre's Madeleine!"

  • Synopsis not yet written

Notes

  • Nick Fury is shown in his pre-S.H.I.E.L.D. appearance, without his eye-patch but a bionic eye, implying he was still a member of the C.I.A. at this point. Due to more recent revelations about the very formation and early activities of S.H.I.E.L.D., including Original Sin, Original Sins #5, Winter Soldier: The Bitter March and International Iron Man, this has become apocryphal, since it is unconciliable with the Sliding Timescale of Earth-616. Fury became Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 1965 while this issue is set a few years before the Age of Heroes and alongside an adult Ben Grimm and Carol Danvers.

Trivia

The title refers to the "episode of the madeleine" in Du côté de chez Swann, where the taste of a madeleine causes the narrator to recover memories of his childhood. However, the author was not Jean-Paul Sartre but Marcel Proust.
