The Destruction of Tarnax IV was an attack on Tarnax IV, led by Dar-Benn, that aimed to steal its atmosphere and give it to Hala via an unstable Jump Point.

Background[]

"I'm the reason why the civil war started in the first place. I'm the reason why they couldn't breathe the air. That's how I got the name Annihilator."

Destruction of the Supreme Intelligence

Captain Marvel destroys the Supreme Intelligence

Freed from the Kree's control, Carol Danvers returned to Hala, the Kree homeworld, to destroy the Supreme Intelligence, thinking it would allow the Kree to have more control over themselves. Instead, this ignited the Kree Civil War. The war devasted Hala, causing unbreathable air, a drought, and the diminishment of Pama, the star Hala orbited. During Danvers' rampage through Hala, she dropped a ceiling on Accuser Dar-Benn, causing the latter to develop a personal vendetta against the former.[1]

Dar-Benn finds the Quantum Band

When Ronan the Accuser was killed by the Guardians of the Galaxy,[2] Dar-Benn rose to the position of Supremor. Not being able to take seeing her people's suffering, she resolved to steal the resources of planets that were dear to Danvers, who had now become known as Captain Marvel. Dar-Benn retrieved a Quantum Band from MB-418 and with it, she was able to open unstable Jump Points that wouldn't close in conjunction with her Universal Weapon. From there, she traveled to Tarnax IV, a Skrull refugee colony.

She started to negotiate peace talks with Emperor Dro'ge, but upon witnessing the arrival of Captain Marvel, she turned on the Skrulls.[1]

Emperor Dro'ge, along with the Skrulls who managed to escape the destruction of their colony, were onboard the Hoopty while Danvers called a friend to help relocate the Skrulls. Danvers had a conversation with Dro'ge, telling him the peace treaty was a ruse. Dro'ge retorted that even if it was, her intervention ruined it. He then claimed that they Skrulls no longer needed her help. Valkyrie, responding to Danvers' call, arrived via the Bifrost Bridge and greeted Danvers with a hug. Valkryie said she was glad Danvers had finally found a team, but Danvers replied that it was unintentional. Valkyrie chuckled and joked that she'd been on some unintentional teams herself. The Skrulls gathered around Valkyrie, and the Bifrost transported them all to New Asgard.[1]
