Agent Prince was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent recruited into Melinda May's STRIKE team. When the new S.H.I.E.L.D. was infiltrated by Life-Model Decoys, Prince was among the few agents who escaped with Daisy Johnson and Jemma Simmons on Zephyr One while they entered the Framework to rescue their fellow allies trapped inside the program. Upon returning to the Playground and having rescued their kidnapped colleagues from the Superior, Prince was murdered by Aida while he was trying to protect Leo Fitz.
Biography[]
Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.[]
May's STRIKE Team[]
Jeffrey Mace assigned Melinda May the task of creating, training and leading a STRIKE team. She recruited four agents, including Prince and Piper. One day, May trained her team in martial arts in the Playground hangar. After she defeated her opponent, May asked her team what was his failure. Prince believed that it was not having anticipated one of May's movements, but Piper correctly guessed that the mistake was tapping out. Zephyr One then landed interrupting their lesson, though May asked Piper to continue with training.
Prince later joined the team in a mission to take back Phil Coulson and Alphonso Mackenzie from Los Angeles and to fight Chinatown Crew, successfully incapacitating and capturing all of their targets.[2]
Prince joined Mackenzie in the mission to rescue May and Phil Coulson from South Ridge Penitentiary. As the team landed with the Containment Module in the prison, Mackenzie sent Quake to led Prince and James Davis to find Coulson and May. Prince and Davis used I.C.E.R.s to get to the two. Later, Mackenzie sent Prince and Davis back to the prison to help the police take control of the prisoners.[3]
Prince and May's Team followed Daisy Johnson to a warehouse where Tucker Shockley and other Watchdogs were hiding. Using I.C.E.R.s they caught them all. On Zephyr One, Prince was watching the cuffed Watchdogs while Johnson was interrogating Shockley. He and Davis then hold Shockley as he talked to Mace and Johnson. Suddenly twang was heard and Fitz and Simmons hurried to warn them that Shockley was the bomb. Johnson said to Prince and Davis to move and knocked out Shockley with her powers.[4]
Hunting LMDs[]
- "And if they're in there too long, their bodies will give out."
"Well, that's the hypothesis. So we have to go now." - âPrince and Jemma Simmons[src]
Prince was asked by Alphonso Mackenzie where was Daisy Johnson, so he said she was preparing the residents for the Inhumans. Prince was later gathered with the other key members of S.H.I.E.L.D. and informed by Phil Coulson and Director Mace that both agents Daisy Johnson and Jemma Simmons had been kidnapped and replaced by Life-Model Decoys who planned to sabotage the base. Prince and the other agents were then ordered by their superiors to hunt down and destroy all the robots.
While Prince joined Mackenzie and others in getting their weapons, the room was filled with gas, knocking out Prince and all of the others. Eventually, he awoke, confused as to why they were awake with the room still filled with gas, only to be greeted by Simmons who insisted that she and Johnson were not the LMDs. Simmons raised her gun and said she did not care if they believed her or not and then ordered them to move out.
As they moved through the base with all the Framework equipment, Prince then witnessed Mackenzie's LMD body being thrown across the hallway in pieces. Quake then appeared and order James Davis to fly Zephyr One out of the base to safety while Prince and Piper collected any other unconscious agents they could find and get them away from the still spreading fire before the entire Playground base burned to the ground.
Following their newest orders, Prince and Piper both evacuated the remaining S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Once onboard Zephyr One, Davis managed to get the Zephyr out of the hanger moments before May's LMD much of the Playground base. Prince and the other agents then watched in amazement as Davis successfully flew the plane and all of them outside of the danger zone and towards sunlight.[5]
Protecting Johnson and Simmons[]
Collecting Yo-Yo Rodriguez on the way, Prince and the other agents discussed the plan to get inside the Framework, which had been built by Holden Radcliffe with the help of the Darkhold. Prince noted that if there were too long inside the Framework, their body would give out. With no other choice, however, Quake and Jemma Simmons were logged into the Framework to begin the mission of finding their allies and free them from the digital world.[5]
Prince and the others proceeded to wait for days while Johnson and Simmons were in the Framework. In order to save power, they had to turn off everything in the Zephyr minus the cloaking. They bundled up as there was no heat. After losing more power, they were forced to decloak, increasing their possibility of being found. Later, they found an aircraft heading towards them: Anton Ivanov's. As Simmons finally made it back from the Framework, Ivanov shot at them. James Davis took to wheel to evade him. Quake also came back and they helped her up. However, Johnson couldn't get Alphonso Mackenzie to go through the portal.[6]
On the Run[]
Suddenly, another mishap occurred: a room caught on fire. As Simmons and Johnson took care of it to get the weapons turned on, the plane flew straight at them. They were able to get the weapons just in time to destroy it. Prince patted Davis on the back. When Simmons questioned why they wouldn't drop down to refuel, they showed her that S.H.I.E.L.D. was now on the wanted list for the murder of Jeffrey Mace. They finally flew to where Phil Coulson and Melinda May were. Alphonso Mackenzie was the only one still in the Framework and Rodriguez wanted to save him despite Simmons warnings that she couldn't. Suddenly, Aida and Leo Fitz arrived having teleported Mackenzie's body to them. Simmons iced them both and they flew back to the Playground.
At the Playground, the team looked at the destruction to their old base. Suddenly, Aida started going crazy after hearing Fitz was still in love with Simmons. Prince, Davis, and Piper went to extract Fitz from the room. Aida then used her lightning ability to get out. They continued to help Fitz, who explained that she cannot be stopped. The United States Army then arrived to arrest them, but Aida teleported and killed one of the men. They ran away only for her to sneak behind Prince, snapping his neck.[1]
