Asia is the largest continent in the geography of the planet Earth.
History and specifics[]
Asia takes up most of the supercontinent of Eurasia, bordering Europe and the Middle East. Subdivisions include the Siberian continent and the Indian subcontinent. Major Earth nation-states located in Asia include India, China, and Japan. It was also the location of the historical Great Khanate, Eastern Coalition and Muslim Bloc.
It was noted that Khan Noonien Singh rose to power in India in the 1990s decade and cemented a power base that spanned from Asia to the Middle East. (TOS episode: "Space Seed")
During World War III, there were failed missile detonations over nearly seventy Asian cities. (ST short story: "The Immortality Blues")
In the 24th century, the majority of the population of the planet Sindikash had migrated from Earth to colonize that world. Jean-Luc Picard couldn't remember the particulars, but he knew many of the settlers had come from one specific region. In trying to remember, he supposed that it might have been Asia or Eastern Europe, but wasn't entirely sure. (TNG - Day of Honor novel: Ancient Blood)
