Mimit was a planet in the Zeta Sagittarii system, located in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. In the 23rd century, it was a favored hunting ground for the Kzinti.

History and specifics[]

In the 2250s, Kzinti hunting parties visited Mimit each year to hunt Ravagers as part of a coming-of-age ritual.

When Bebebebeque conducted an initial planetary survey, they noted that a native carpet leaf plant covered the surface in the spring and summer, and considered it valuable as a future food crop and export. Ravagers were hibernating, so they did not show up in the survey record.

In spring 2259, a Beek colony was founded, and it quickly harvested the burgeoning carpet leaf. When Ravagers awoke from hibernation, their carpet leaf food was gone, so they attacked the colonists. A Kzinti hunting party rescued the Beeks from Ravagers, then enslaved them for the next 15 years, forcing them to design miniaturized starship-based weapons.

In 2274, the USS Enterprise carried a contingent of Beeks from Starbase 18 to Mimit. The warship Giant Killer joined Kzinti fighters Blood Gnat and Death Dagger in battling the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the system. They shot down a shuttle, but the Kzinti ground base was destroyed and the remaining Kzinti were forced to abandon Mimit. (TOS comic: "The Wristwatch Plantation")

The Enterprise transplanted the Beek colonists to an uninhabited world, leaving Mimit uninhabited. (TOS comic: "The Nogura Regatta")
