Thallon was a planet located in sector 221-G, in the space of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, orbiting the Thallon system. Thallon was a center of culture and commerce as the homeworld of the Thallonian civilization and the capital planet of the Thallonian Empire.

History and specifics[]

In the year 2373 it was discovered that Thallon's great wealth of materials and geothermal energy were the result of the world being a sort of "egg" or "nest", and that a Great Bird of the Galaxy had been gestating or hibernating within the planet. There had been a steady decline in the habitability of the world for over a decade prior, leading to a great deal of emigration and eventually, the collapse of the Thallonians' empire. The planet was destroyed as the Bird emerged, killing all who had remained. The surviving Thallonians founded a new homeworld on New Thallon.
