"The Alternate" was the 32nd episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the 12th episode of the show's second season, first aired during the week of 9 January 1994. The episode was written by Jim TrombettaMA & Bill DialMA and directed by David CarsonMA.

Summary[]

The Bajoran scientist who studied Odo when it was unknown exactly what Odo was visits the space station with news that he may have found clues to Odo's origins. Odo is less than pleased to see Doctor Mora Pol, when Mora wants to study a planet in the Gamma Quadrant.
