Yes seems like it. I think anime ending was amazing, somehow even better than the game. That was more than I could wish for when it comes to adaptation and the final shot for Accord is peak move from A-1 Pictures for DrakeNieR fans.

Why Girls Band Cry is popular?

ShuunIchikawa | Sep 12, 12:57 PM
Yes, she actually originates from Drakengard 3, not NieR games itself. In there she was a side character, but in other games she is only a background (even if her role is insanely important). The codes actually refer to her, and considering her importance and "special status", there is a chance of her appearience in anime.
Another fun fact is that anime itself contains a lot of references to currently shut-down mobile game that worked as a sequel to NieR:Automata - NieR Re[in]carnation. And based on info from that game, I'd call anime story situation (all the codes, changes and references) quite critical in bigger DrakeNieR picture. If you'd be interested on how Accord looks, she is the one from the gif at the very bottom of my profile. |

Yea, it's probably most secret thing about this anime, but this is very much in Yoko Taro style to hide something most important in such way.
Rest of the codes can be found in here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qevOCpaEsJZp7aal5jrXp0X-O7npz8xp1mksMQx-NLI/edit Some reddit person is always taking their time and translate them. And by the way, do you know Accord? She has been referred in game twice (but playtrough could not cover that cause its rather hard to find) and in anime her name dropped as well in recent episodes. |

If by last thing you mean the hexadecimal codes, everytime that in the middle of episode there is broadcast break and the title appears, for one frame you can see very long hex codes.
Example of S1E1: e38090e5a0b1e5918ae38091 0d0ae382a2e383b3e38389e383ade382a4e38389e381af e7949fe381a8e6adbbe38292e7b9b0e3828ae8bf94e38199e5ad98e59ca8e381a7e38182e3828be38082 This is translated to: 【報告】 アンドロイドは生と死を繰り返す存在である - because the codes is made in JP language. and later after another translation to english: [Report] Androids are beings that repeat life and death. This one maybe is just a stated fact, but every next episode, there is more going on in there and it suggest of how big of deal the anime itself is. Recent codes only make me more sure that there will be sort of anime exclusive ending. I can give the source of all episodes codes translated. |

Alright, so basically, episode 9 changes a lot, as you said. But in fact, it changes so much, that everything I told you just now kinda can't apply in anime.
Machine Report created by Jackass (you know why it can't be a thing anymore) Few events happening after Ending E, described in World Chronology also can't happen, because of the certain changes made. I mentioned Project Gestalt, because Devola and Popola are related to it, and soon we will most likely get covered their novella that you can read in game after opening The Tower, so yea, the Project Gestalt Reports archives will work as a better explanation of their backstory. Thus I'm thinking anime will consider covering it to not make it that out of context as it is. Anyways, you think they will go for Ending E, while I'm thinking they won't cover Ending E as well because of these changes. Post Ending E events basically can't happen now, with what route anime took, and this way (even if you might not get a clue why) Ending E is not the outcome our protagonist (including Pods) would seek for. I can't explain in details why it is possible we get a new ending, never covered by Automata game, but for me this is now the most likely outcome (judging from all the clues hidden in every episode) As for my final question, do you recognize the hexadecimal codes that appear in every episode as an eyecatch? |
ShuunIchikawa | Sep 12, 7:55 AM
Machine Report that I refer is the archive player obtains after Ending C, so you kinda need to go to menu and read it yourself, possible to miss. This specifies a lot about Red Girls and Project YoRHa, works as the final context of what actually The Tower and whole Machine Lifeforms goal was. I'll have few additional questions, and tell me if you want me to explain these things (in case you might not know some of them). Machine Report mentions the core of NieR lore which is Project Gestalt (I expect it to be briefly mentioned in anime very soon, in games you also had the archives about it). Aside Project Gestalt, do you know about "Farewell" - the concert reading that is about what happens after Ending E? And as the final thing, there is something like World Chronology in NieR Automata World Guide book, which describes also few things that happened after the Ending E (after Farewell too).
Archives are very very important to have better view of the world and what happened before NieR Automata (as it a sequel after all). You can easily find all of them on NieR Wiki. Project Gestalt Reports 1-11 are something that no player should ever miss. Farewell can be read on Accord's Library site, there is also Chronology included there, Automata (game) starts in a year 11945 there, so you can read all that is from there till the last year avaible. |

Hey man, are you done with NieR Automata game lore? Ending E and Machine Report created by Jackass is what im asking for to be exact. I wanna discuss episode 9, cause all things seem little too suspicious for me.

Good afternoon, I'm from São Paulo (Brazil). It's clear to me that Argentina is the most racist country in the world
|
penaldoggy | Aug 25, 8:16 AM
Hello, why are argentinians so racist?
|
ShuunIchikawa | Aug 24, 11:29 AM
Hey hey, it's fine thanks for asking :D.
Well to be honest, I've always been choosing A2, but my guess is that the only difference is whose POV you'll get first or something like that, definitely nothing major, cause I'd know it (since I studied all the lore from DrakeNieR). About Pod 042 and 153, I also think this doesn't affect plot too much. (but you can add more context cause im not sure if I get it correctly) Yes I've heard about her, that was sad day... :< |
Deago | Aug 22, 1:59 PM
Seems Sengoku Youkou will be fully adapted. I read the plot changes radically in the second half.
