Nostalgia. It scares me to think that something I once loved could in actuality be a disgusting mess. I cautiously watched this movie for the first time in years. If you asked me before today I would say of course it was awesome. After today, I'm proud to say that Street Fighter II: The Movie still kicks all kinds of ass.

I watched the American dubbed release as I did when I was a child. The voice acting is actually pretty solid. Ryu occasionally sounds bit too high pitched. Every other main character sounds really good. The American version also added some rocking tunes from bands ... like Korn and Alice in Chains. Whether you like that genre of music or not, it fits very well in the places they insert it. The rest of the original music in the film sounds fantastic as well.

The art resembles most anime from the early 90s. You will either like it or you won't. I personally don't have an issue with different art styles so I love it. The fight scenes are incredibly well animated. You feel the impact of each move as flesh shifts upon contract. It's all quite visually stimulating.

The story is M. Bison is bad. He's using his powers and influence to collect strong fighters. Cyborgs are out on the prowl monitoring the strongest fighters. Guile and Chun Li are on a mission to stop it. Along the way Ken, Ryu, and many other well known characters are sucked into Bison's plot. It's simple, but it works in such a way to show off a lot of different fights, while still being relevant to the plot. Although sometimes I feel like they just added random fights with little explanation just for the sake of it. It's all entertaining, it just lacks purpose sometimes.

The ending cliffhanger is dumb. Not going to spoil anything, but it was just silly.

I am pleasantly surprised. i fully expected to return to this film and be left with regret. However, I remain impressed with this film even after all this time. If it's been a while since you've seen this movie it's safe to watch it again. If you've never seen this movie before then get a move on.

Welcome to the complete and utter letdown that is Broly. For a non-canonical character, Broly receives a massive amount of praise. People often cite this movie to be the best DBZ film. Not only is Broly not the best DBZ film, Broly is just plain bad.

I don't have nostalgia for DBZ. If you do feel free to put your hands over your ears and exit the review. I first watched DBZ (as well as the original Dragon Ball) in 2015. I loved Dragon Ball and DBZ was great as well, albeit with a lot of faults. So I do enjoy the series a lot.

The main ... issue with the movie is Broly. Broly represents everything that was creatively wrong in DBZ. He shows up and is completely invincible until time is running out on the feature. Most of this movie is the Dragon Ball Z trope of Goku and friends getting their butts kicked until (literally) the final 5 minutes of the movie. It's not even a back and forth affair. For some this makes Broly a cool bad ass. For the rest of us, we see it for what it is. It's the same played out lazy fight scene Dragon Ball Z thrived on, except this time it monopolizes a feature length film.

Broly's backstory isn't special either. I am certainly glad they explained how another Saiyan is wondering around, but that doesn't make it intriguing. I think the movie wanted you to feel for him a bit, but then it switches back to Broly in the present time acting what I would describe as foolish and you feel nothing. Broly has nothing interesting about him. He is just a goofy monster.

Should you watch this movie? Of course. It's part of DBZ history. A lot of people love it and you need to at least give it a watch. Just be ready, because this movie movie will let you down.

Ignore all these other reviews! I'm here to let you know that this movie is good! Obviously it has it's issues, but this is the first Dragon Ball Z movie to be enjoyable to watch. The first three movies simmer around mediocrity. It's not canon so feel no obligation to watch it. However, if you want some more fun Dragon Ball Z action, this is a worthwhile experience.

Let's just address this up front. Is Lord Slug a Piccolo rip off? YES! He is a Namekian. He commands an army (like Piccolo did when he originally took on Earth). He hunts the Dragon Balls to get ... eternal youth. Slug's moveset is even the exact same. He even uses the "turn into a giant" move Piccolo used. Everything about him is a complete, utter, and unhidden rip off. But you know what, I'm not mad about it. It works. The story was good for Piccolo and it's good here. It's not original, but it's not boring to watch by any means. For a rip off, it does a serviceable job of making it entertaining.

To address another thing. Lord Slug did not go back to Namek to get the Dragon Balls because they used the Dragon Balls to exile him. I know this is minor, but reading other reviews bugged me. This is why. Moving on.

The animation and sound is on par with the anime at the time. The fight scenes are animated well. I love when fights actually have a bit of back and worth and are not entirely one sided. Not to mention Piccolo and Gohan get a bit of time to show off their moves. They are not the best fight scenes, but they stand above a lot of the one sided borefests that monopolize Dragon Ball Z. Sound features your regular Dragon Ball Z tunes. Nothing out of place. Voice acting is solid too for the dub.

Forget the haters. Yes the movie is unoriginal. It's not canon though. Just take it for what it is and I am sure you will enjoy it as well.

Another Dragon Ball film. Another retelling. This one combines the first and second tournament arc with the Red Ribbon arc. Then it tells it completely differently. For the curious only.

Animation seems a bit sloppy here and there. Certain facial expressions used by our beloved characters don't really match them. Bulma is just all over the place. Everything else just seems like a step down from the anime. It works, but you'll notice it as well. The English voice actors are different from the anime. A few remain the same, but big ones like Goku are wrong. They will annoy you. Goku's voice just lacks conviction. ... But the music is all fitting. So at least we have that.

The story is out of control. It starts with Roshi finishing the training of Goku and Krillin. From there they head to the tournament. But Chiaotzu and Tien are around. For some reason Chiaotzu is a ruler of an empire. It's weird. Tien and Chaiotzu are nothing like their anime counterparts. Then throw in some Red Ribbon Army. A hefty dose of Master Shen. Then you have the show. It's sounds like a mess, but if you look at it as it's own thing it works.

Do you need to watch this? No. Do I even recommend it? Not really. If you are a fan of Dragon Ball and are curious then go for it. It's not going to make your experience that much better or worse.

Yet another retelling of the Dragon Ball tale. Have any of these been worth watching? Not in the slightest. Outside of curiosity you have no reason to watch this.

The animation in particular is shoddy. Seems like characters just don't move around as well as they should. Couple this with some awkward scene transitions. The audio is also really bad. Even on the direct streaming version from Funimation it seems like voices are way too low and certain sounds are ear piercing. It becomes annoying to watch.

Speaking of audio, yes a lot of the English voice actors are different. Goku and Bulma in particular sound awful. ... Luckily Roshi and Krillin are the proper English voice actors.

The story is painfully dull. Roshi decides before he can train Golku or Krillin they must rescue a princess. The main villain is a vampire and is not interesting in the slightest. The whole thing is a struggle to watch. Nothing interesting happens the entire time.

Watch something else.

It's better than Curse of the Blood Rubies. I would never say this is worth watching over the actual series. Nor would I even really recommend watching it unless you were just curious. As a retelling, it really adds nothing to Dragon Ball. As far as a retelling goes this one is decent.

The art and sound are more or less Dragon Ball. The animation feels a lot cleaner. Music sounds slightly better, but they did a good job of not straying too much in this aspect. Unlike Curse of the Blood Rubies you have the proper English voice actors too.

The story is a weird mixture ... of the Pilaf arc and the Red Ribbon Arc. Sadly it cuts some of the best parts like the Tournament, Korin's Tower, and Pilaf himself. What you get isn't terrible. It's just a highly rushed mash up of what you got in the anime series.

Do you need to see this movie? No. Is it worth your time? No. Is it the worst thing ever? No. So if you love Dragon Ball and are curious/bored then give it a shot.

RideBack is boring. There are people that love this show, but I just cannot get behind any of it. I initially found the premise of the show interesting. Racing, terrorism, mech-bikes with arms, and so forth. Unfortunately RideBack is never interesting enough where I would suggest anyone watch it before a myriad of other anime.

The characters just never go anywhere until the very end. Sure we learn more about them along the way, but most of them don't round out until the end of the anime if at all. The protagonist in particular just stays in this annoying depressed state for most of the anime. ... Blaming herself for things that are clearly not her fault. I found myself saying "can we just get over this already" to the very unnatural reactions.

The dancing motif can also get old. We get the main character was a dancer that got hurt and chose to give up dancing. We get that the Rideback is her pseudo redemption. But wow to they just never stop repeating the same flashbacks over and over again to drive the point across. Time that could of been better spent further revealing character motivations and backgrounds, which is severely lacking.

The music is pretty mediocre too. I usually don't notice this much, but they repeat a lot of tracks I dislike. Maybe it's because these tracks are often associated with scenes I dislike, but it is still something I wanted to say. Opening and closing themes are amazing.

All this adds up to one big borefest. In only 12 episodes they were unable to maintain my interest. You just want them to get to the point. There are a few good points here and there, but most of the show is just boring. At no point would I say it does anything particular well. Watch something else.

Inferno Cop is a humorous distraction and nothing more. I understand this is against the status quo, but this is how I feel. It seems like the joke surrounding this anime is that's it is the greatest worst show ever. Just be advised the show certainly can be entertaining, but it's not worth the 10 people give it.

The show features terrible animation on purpose. Involving characters barely moving. It works for the show though. The music is actually pretty good and the voice acting (especially for Inferno Cop himself) sounds very good. All of this works for the 3 minute episodes.

Inferno Cop focuses on absurd ... scenarios involving a flaming skeleton cop. His goal is to stop the Southern Cross gang. Along the way he falls into random situations. These can be mildly funny. Sometimes you'll even laugh out loud.

My opinion. Be in the right state of mind before watching this. It's wacky and has it's moments. Just don't be fooled into thinking it's something more than it is.

The Conqueror of Shamballa plays out like a poorly written fan fiction whose only purpose is to turn the gun sideways to kill shot the series. It's not the ending that FMA fans deserved. It's not an entertaining movie. It's only purpose was to finish off the series once and for all.

Note. Before we get into it I have not seen Brotherhood to date. Also, I give the FMA 03 series a 9 out of 10. It's almost a masterpiece outside of the unfinished ending.

The problem with this movie is it's plot. The ending of FMA left a lot to be determined. Certain main antagonists ... still deserved development. Instead because of this movie you are forced to accept the lazy explanation for the way certain characters bowed out. Instead this series introduces new villains. The main villain of them is just terrible. With a little more work she might of turned out okay, but as it stands things come off too rushed. They don't make you believe in the character enough. She is just evil because she is dumb.

The setting obviously takes place in the world that the original series left off. Which is cool, but also lame at the same time. If this was a one time movie that led into more anime than it would be nice. However, this makes the series more or less finish off entirely in a foreign setting with foreign(ish) characters. It doesn't even fit thematically with the rest of the series.

Then the ending of the movie makes it's purpose clear. The ending they shaped was designed so no more of the anime could take place in its familiar setting. It was the kill shot to the series. They wanted it to end with no way that it could ever come back.

The music is good. Art is good. Fight scenes are good. All other aspects are just a let down. I know some people like this movie, but I simply cannot see it. I would rather the anime end on episode 51. The only thing that needed to be wrapped up wasn't wrapped up anyway.

Bikini Warriors itself had a ton of problems. The fan service was half baked and often took away from the show itself. The show being primarily a parody of RPG tropes.

So before even going into this you don't feel attachment to the characters. They are just generic anime girls. I understand the appeal of liking a character and then wanted to see them be more sexual with one another. Freezing has a set of specials that are more or less softcore porn as well. I cared about the characters in Freezing though. So it was a neat concept to see them hyper sexual.

This is not ... like that that. Bikini Warriors character are generic anime girls. You can watch any other hyper sexual fan service anime and get the same or better experience. I recommend just forgoing this and watching hentai. The sexual stuff isn't good and the parody stuff is non-existent.
