Both have stories rather similar to each other as the main character is surrounded by all these different aged characters. Though Tenshi no Shippo has animals, the characters look like girls just as the ones from Sister Princess. The girls in both shows also seem to fight for the affection of the main character in one way or another and a lot of hi-jinx ensue based off of misunderstandings.

Angel Tales, like Sister Princess, has a nice guy who ends up living with 12 lovable and cute girls who adore him.
In Angel Tales, the girls were the pets of the lead male character Goro, he is a kindhearted animal lover. The girls come back as guardian angels to help Goro out with his life. As you continue watching this series, you'll find out more about Goro's and the girls backgrounds.
