Where They Are Now is a supplemental series told through the cover pages of select chapters, depicting the day-to-day lives of the Straw Hat Pirates' friends and allies.
(It should be noted that, despite similar—sometimes identical—construction, this series is in fact distinct from the cover arcs, which follow a different numbering.)
The series' installments—each labeled a "shot"—are even simpler than the cover arcs', featuring absolutely no dialogue or overarching narratives. Every shot focuses on a separate group of characters, never repeating.
Overall, the series was very short-lived, covering only two locations. After the timeskip, it was supplanted by the "From the Decks of the World" mini-series, which are counted as cover arcs proper.

Both parts were followed by a cover story starring the antagonists of their respective arcs, a cover story featuring Enel in the case of Skypiea and a cover story featuring CP9 in the case of Water 7.
In Episode 381, Iceburg can be seen holding auditions for a new secretary in the newspaper Crocus is reading. The photos used for the front page depicting his auditions are the same as the cover chapters from this mini-series.
