Wow, I've been packed. Between racing, working on my book, and managing thesetwo websites, I haven't had the time I previously hoped to have to edit when I came here. Oh, well, I suppose it's not that bad. I will pop in occasionally, though, so watch for me. --Gp75motorsportsREV LIMITER10:40, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Gp75motorsports, and welcome to the Simple English Wikipedia!
Remember to edit any pages you want! Any changes you make that are not perfect can be fixed later. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Simple talk. Sign your messages on Talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.
I removed the speedy deletion tag. If you look at the en wiki article, this shopping center features about 390 stores. It seems quite notable, even though I've never heard of it. You probably have not either, unless you live in that area, but that does not make a topic non-notable. Jonas D. RandT21:01, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make useful changes to Wikipedia. However, at least one of your changes, such as the one you made to "User talk:Spiderpig0001", did not appear to be useful and has been automatically reverted by Chris G Bot. If you want to try out changing Wikipedia to learn more about how it works, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
I think its time for you to just leave Daniel alone. There is simple no reason to edit his talk page when there really isn't a reason to. Thank you. Synergy21:02, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Gp75motorsports. Thanks for signing up, but the USA is already taken by User:Samekh. However, you are welcome to select a different country or state of the USA. If you do not pick a new flag by the 31st December 2008, you will be automatically assigned one. Thanks for your interest! BG7even16:09, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, just a note, for the main wikicup you should really change away from the USA. I think we are going to run them separately and you have to opt-in to it, and you can have any country you like, different from your main team.
FastReverter changed you to Madagascar as well, so you might want to change.
Finally, we're thinking a continents cup rather than a Nation's cup, as it would make things easier.
Hello Gp75motorsports. I'm very sorry but the nations cup will have to be postponed until further notice as our judges have concerns about the rules and organization of it. However the Editors cup will go ahead as planned. Thanks, YotcmdrSign up for the wikicup=talk=19:35, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I refer to this and this. The first one I find completely offensive and inappropriate - furthermore I believe it violates NPA. I am VERY offended as I already said. What exactly are your problems with me and Gwib? Just because we think it is a bad idea you want to get rid of us? This is for the good of the encyclopedia. Your second point says there is consensus for it. Clearly there isn't. I have seen one clear for !vote and several against !votes - both onwiki and IRC - and that too me is consensus against it. As I said, it can happen next year. Just not now. People are losing the point of the wiki through it and it's just not thought out well enough. Are you annoyed because it was your idea? If you want it to happen, then consider creating your own wiki and making it there. But once you give an idea here, others can change it, use it, and cancel it to their own liking. And we've decided that it's not going to work. Thank you, BG7even13:48, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how I took it. If it is meant that way, then clarification of that point would be nice. If he does want to run it separately I can't stop him from running it, but if so it should be clearly shown that they are not related (editor's and nation's), have different titles and not use the same formats. It is simply easier to leave it until next year!!!
As i've said, I think the idea is good in principle, but it needs a year to be sorted out. The only other options I see have all bee raised, but they all have flaws that some could see - and editor running it, it being run separately etc. In all honesty a year isn't that long and these things should happen one stage at a time - a SEWP Wikicup hasn't run at all before, so we should get the main one sorted first. Thanks, BG7even18:04, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gp75motorsports, I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas 2008, and that Santa brings you everything you want :P. If you are going away anywhere, have a great time, and whatever else you do I really hope you enjoy it!
Jon, would you consider not bossing people around and telling them what they can and cannot put on their userpages? I think he should add to that "a place where an administrator can create a sockpuppet, be deceptive and evasive when asked who you are, and get to be user page police". Jonas D. RandT15:05, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gp75, the only reason I asked for you to change, is because I want you to be able to contribute wherever you would like. I don't know the policies or rules here, I'm not active here. I want to be careful not to intrude on this project. You don't have to change it. I'm only asking. Very best! NonvocalScream (talk) 01:24, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Gp75motorsports. We have come to a conclusion after dicussing the way points should be counted. You must make a page were you keep record of your edits. It should look like this and it should be called user:Gp75motorsports/Wikicup Edit Count. It will be checked by our judges to make sure there is no cheating. If we find that there was a very large margin of error, you will be disqualified. Remember, any edit which does not figure on this page will not be counted in your final score. Thank you for your attention.
Hello Gp75motorsports. You may stop updating your wikicup edit count (unless told otherwise by a judge) as it will be done by a judge from now on. Thank you, Yotbot (talk) 21:53, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The QandA. Every month, Kennedy interviews one of the Simple English Wikipedia's editors, asking them about themselves, and their opinions on Wikipedia. It is an exciting insight behind the anonymous face of an online username. This month is a bumper edition for QandA, as Kennedy was an idiot and forgot to load the interview last edition! This month will be Shapiros10andYotcmdr! Click for their interviews:
The Commanders's Choice. For every edition, Yotcmdr will be chosing articles that need creating, expanding or being attended to. Here is this edition's list:
