Borg Neural Processors are awarded by completing a Special Task Force on Advanced or Elite difficulty. Previously a random amount of them was awarded on successful completion. At least one and sometimes six or eleven Neural Processors were awarded.

Borg Neural Processors contain a record of all information the drone received from the Collective. Salvaging one in an operational state would be extremely valuable to Task Force Omega.
Earned by completing a Special Task Force on Elite difficulty. Used as input for obtaining Mk XII gear from Task Force Omega reputation projects.

Borg Neural Processors can be earned by various means. STFs on Advanced, and Defera Invasion zone Hard dailies offer 1 BNP. Ways of obtaining in detail are:

- Complete “Power Plant: Getting to the Bottom of Things” - 1 BNP
- Complete “City: Knowledge is Key” - 1 BNP
- Chance of a Borg Neural Processor dropping during a Normal STF
- Chance of dropping from a Omega Force Requisition Pack
- Complete a Reputation Upgrade Project to convert 100 Omega Marks into 1 BNP (once per day).
