- Confirmed in Part 23 by Mettaton, although he also revealed that Papyrus was involved in said unearthing.
After all, she'd have all the chances in the world to make things right… wouldn't she?
- Confirmed. During Frisk's fight with the Determinator, a determination-powered mech, Undyne is trying to kill Frisk enough for them to lose control of the timeline.
In addition, one of the Gaster followers speaks of metal and magic not combining well and how "the facade you build above does not change the damage underneath."
Perhaps Undyne tried to alleviate the Amalgamates via robotic enhancements like she did to herself?
- Confirmed.
Conclusion? The Darkest Hour has arrived. Flowey is at his strongest. He is once again The God of Hyperdeath, or maybe something even worse.
- Partially confirmed. mus_null plays throughout the Empty Ruins after Asriel's rewriting of reality, which Frisk and Chara traverse through in null_2. Asriel has indeed achieved a new version of his "God of Hyperdeath" form as well, though he doesn't show up in person until RIFT.
- Confirmed. null_7 shows that he took the SOULs of every human in the city, leaving behind empty husks. Word of God confirms that while it was seemingly left ambiguous at first, Asriel has absorbed their SOULs too.
- In null_7, he even took Lilac's SOUL while not having absorbed it for the sole purpose of taunting Frisk, later ominously claiming he had "big plans" for Lilac.
- Partially Confirmed, as null_7 shows that he has been absorbing the souls from the humans in the nearby city, but he hasn't been killing them. Also, dying in the playable version of null_5 will have him reload.
- Furthermore, Asriel had control over the timeline even when he had just the six human SOU Ls (which was also demonstrated in UNDERTALE with the Photoshop Flowey fight), and he had merely been disgusing his own SAVE File as Frisk's starting from the Toriel fight to Angel's Promise. It's safe to say this also applies to him having the power of seven, as while UNDERTALE allows the Player to exit and reload during the Asriel fight, it's likely an oversight by Toby Fox.
- Partially confirmed. mus_rift and its variants all serve as overworld themes for the titular Rift, which started out as the "purple void". However, they're far from "the last few sections" before the boss, as Word of God states the Asriel boss fight will occur on Rift_10, many chapters after mus_rift and mus_ego to say the least.
- Partially Confirmed, as both null_7 and RIFT take place on the Surface. However, it remains to be said that both NULL and RIFT are parts of the Final Arc, with the aforementioned "final arc" merely referring to RIFT.
- Jossed in regards to each Asriel phase being its own chapter, as [[Main:Word of God Dorked]] confirmed that all phases of the Asriel fight would be contained within Rift 11.
- Confirmed. The Doll of Denial is the last Figment planned by Asriel before he gets ready to build the final part of the Rift. The main characters only manage to make it to Helplessness's area because Chara was willing to hear Denial out before the battle ended.
- Spamton offers a deal, but Frisk avoids him due to being familiar with scammers.
- Chara ends up convincing Frisk to give Spamton a chance, paralleling the former's strong similarities to Kris from Deltarune.
- Spamton is secretly after their [[Heart Shaped Object]]s for a chance to become a [[BIG SHOT]].
- Well in null_3, its implied that the MTT Resort is under new management and the voice is the same one used for Spamton. Furthemore, Word of God confirmed that there won't be any fights until null_5, so it could be possible that a Spamton fight could be possible unless it's somebody else because it seems like it'll be a long while before Frisk and Asriel even come face to face with Asriel.
- Confirmed. Spamton is indeed fought in null_5 alongside 2 henchmen. It remains to be seen if he'll have a second form akin to his fight as Spamton NEO, a new form entirely or he won't have a second fight at all.
- The second Spamton fight is jossed because no such thing happened in null_6 and it's highly unlikely that null_7 will even take place on the surface.
- Actually, null_7 does take place on the surface, and Spamton's presence in the city is hinted at during it. Rift 1 confirms Spamton's presence during a post-credits scene, and shows him jumping into the Rift to "avenge" Lilac. While this indicates he will have some presence during RIFT, it remains unlikely he'd fight Frisk and Chara, and especially not Asriel.
- Spamton having any second form is jossed, as Word of God confirmed Spamton is happy with his current body and that he wouldn't have a "Spamton SPIRAL" form or otherwise.
- Are they actual sentient beings, or mere puppets and illusions? Word of God has deliberately left this open-ended for the moment, with the phrasing heavily implying that they're just the latter... or are they?
- Their collective group's name has been speculated to be "The Rifters", "Followers", "Disciples".
- Jossed. They're confirmed to be called the Figments, representing how they're parts of Asriel personified.
- For each of the individual Figments, from left to right (as seen in this teaser image◊), their names are "Puppetsriel G. Puppetsriel", "THE EGO" (Rift_2 miniboss), "Squid Games"(Rift_4 miniboss), "Vacuum Cleaner", "Not_Mechamalgamate" (Rift_3 miniboss) and "Flowey Man" (Rift_6 miniboss).
- Partially confirmed for "THE EGO" (Rift_2 Angel Miniboss), Rift_2 revealed its name is the "Effigy of Ego", but is often shortened to just "Ego" and sometimes "The Effigy".
- Jossed for the Figments of Rift_3 and Rift_4 who are named the "Pawn of Possessiveness" and "Fiend of Fatality" respectively.
- Partially confirmed for "Flowey Man", which is directly related to Flowey's Origins Episode showcasing Flowey's descent into villany in multiple timelines. The boss itself is called Entity of Emptiness.
- If the Effigy of Ego fight in Rift 2 is any indication, Theme Naming may be in play. The remaining bosses might be called Effigy of Love, Effigy of Violence, Effigy of Idealism, Effigy of Control and Effigy of Cruelty.
- Jossed. Word of God confirmed that the other Figments will use "X of Y" naming formats, but will have alliterative naming formats and will not all be called "Effigies", evidenced by Rift_3, Rift_4 and Rift_6's figments being named the Pawn of Possessiveness, Fiend of Fatality and Entity of Emptiness.
- So for the remaining 4 minibosses, one of them might take place during a chapter that parallels Mettaton's fighting tournament and with the miniboss being an embodiment of Asriel's suppressed anger at his own death and resurrection in addition to Frisk and Chara's
- The tournament is jossed. Instead it takes place during the day where Chara's plan to break the barrier ended in both their own death and Asriel's. The miniboss is also jossed, being an embodiment of Asriel's death and the trauma that resulted from it.
- The Execration of Emptiness represents how "empty" Asriel felt inside during his time as Flowey, and would derive its appearance from Flowey (or Photoshop Flowey) and has vines across its body plus an unnerving smile. The name is based on how Asriel saw himself as "broken" during his time as a flower, and the atrocities he did during his various resets. Ending the fight would either involve rejecting it or convincing it that life has meaning despite the presence of resets.
- A teaser from the Inverted Fate server reveals it will derive its appearance from regular Flowey, at least for its face.
- Partially confirmed, though its called the Entity of Emptiness, with it indeed having vines on its body along with a body with a striped shirt like Asriel's.
- The Divinity of Denial represents Asriel's denial- of how much Chara has changed, or the potential implications that he's not doing the right thing. Its derives its appearance from "Angel of Death" Phase 2 Asriel from Undertale (or alternatively just Kid Asriel, like the Possessivness). The strings represent how his denial holds him in place and prevents him from achieving his fullest as a god. Ending the fight would involve rejecting it and getting it to see things differently.
- Partially jossed in that there are no Figments based on Asriel's Final Form in Undertale.
- Instead, what about... Dreamer of Denial?
- The Hoover of Harmony represents the "good" in Asriel- the of him that actually cares about other people, and wants to clean up his mess. Would be an aspect of Asriel buried under everything else, and may parallel the Effigy of Ego in terms of "wanting to do the right thing", but much more sincere in comparison. Would derive its appearance from... a Vacuum Cleaner that's banged up and small (though it could alternatively be regular Flowey, if Emptiness is Photoshop by process of elimination). Ending the fight would be helping it understand that it's not too late to fix everything.
- The part about the vacuum cleaner is (obviously) jossed.
- The Chime of Consonance takes the form of a bell suspended by vines, and represents Asriel's repressed regrets and doubts over whether what he's doing is the right thing. Now with 100% less vacuum cleaner. It being a bell is inspired by the swaying motion the "bulbous" part does, though other theories have suggested it's a wilted flower (similar to Flowey after the Neutral Ending) or a cage (that will not contain a human SOUL). Ending the fight would involve helping it come to the conclusion that just because Asriel is unable to feel love or compassion, it doesn't mean he is an abomination because of it.
- Alternate names for the last two Figments:
- Puppet of Pettiness, Marionette of Malcontent, Doll/Dummy/Demogogue of Discontent/Dependence/Denial, Figurine of Falsehood or Toy of Truculence("Puppetsriel G. Puppetsriel") representing Asriel's dissatisfaction with the world, his pettiness and immaturity because his life as Flowey stunted his growth, stopping him from learning that his actions had consequences and that he can't control other people. The strings represent Asriel taking direct control because he can no longer trust the Figments not to mess up, and because he believes that the heroes can't win if he's directly pulling the strings. It could also represent how Asriel has to lie and deny constantly in an attempt to maintain control and justify his actions, and because he's completely unable to accept that Chara has changed as a person.
- Huh, it turns out that Doll of Denial really is the boss's name. Sometimes the right answer really is the simplest.
- Carnation/Cage of Callousness/Corruption/Cruelty/Cowardice/Complicity, Dome of Deference/Delusion/Duplicity, Hoover/Host/Hostage/Herald/Harbinger/of Helplessness/Hangman/Heretic/Heathen/Homunculus of Helplessness/Homunculus of Helplessness/Sack of Suppression/Silence, Vial of Vindictiveness/Vengeance/Viciousness/Vainglory/Vanity ("Vacuum Cleaner") etc representing Asriel's suppression of his inner goodness, his denial, guilt and fear of facing consequences; or that his better self (a small Asriel in the fetal position) is helpless to do anything against his worst self (Flowey) who has completely taken over. Alternately, helplessness can represent Asriel's attempt to create a Figment that has less of "himself" in it after being forced to kill the Entity of Emptiness for spiting him. Or alternately, it represents how Asriel's "good" half was still complicit in everything Flowey did and could've chosen to stop at anytime.
- More Figment name speculations:
- Second-to-Last: The Dreamer of Denial
- Final Figment: "Helplessness", based on a cryptic discord message.
- RIFT_5: Frisk and Chara meet Papyrus. They decide to catch up and inform each other of everything they've learnt about Asriel's plans and Asriel himself.
- Frisk and Chara meeting Papyrus is confirmed, though most of this one is jossed because most of the episode consists of them trying to free Papyrus out of his lost state and they don't get a chance to catch up until the end of the episode.
- RIFT_6: Figment battle against "Vacuum Cleaner"
- Judging by this teaser, it's possible that this is jossed and that "Flowey Man" might be fought in Rift_6 instead. Though considering the shape of "Vaccuum Cleaner" resembling a cage being held by a vine, it's possible that the Illusion Flowey might turn into "Vaccuum Cleaner".
- The fight being against Helplessness ("Vacuum Cleaner") is jossed. The Rift_6 Figment is the Entity of Emptiness ("Flowey Man"), who is what the illusionary Flowey turns into.
- RIFT_7: Figment battle against "Flowey Man"
- Jossed, the Entity of Emptiness ("Flowey Man") is fought in Rift_6: Empty Inside, as mentioned above.
- By process of elimination, "Helplessness" could be the stage boss of Rift_7 since "Puppetsriel G. Puppetsriel" seems far too important to be the penultimate Figment.
- This is also jossed. If you take the Soundcloud thumbnail for mus_denial and brighten it, it shows the puppet with a hidden message instead.◊
- RIFT_8: Figment battle against "Puppetsriel G. Puppetsriel". Might have ties with Lilac because it's silhouette is consistently portrayed as lavender, a colour close to lilac and is the only figment to be controlled by red strings.
- This is jossed since mus_denials hidden thumbnail secret implies that the "Puppetsriel G. Puppetsriel" is the boss of Rift_7, leaving "Vaccuum Cleaner" as the final Figment.
- RIFT_9: Asriel forces Chara, Frisk and Papyrus to fight a creature containing Lilac's soul. Lilac is freed and she joins the party. Alternately, Asriel decides to be a jerk and force the party to fight against all 6 Figments at the same time. Or fuse them into a monstrous chimera which requires a new strategy to overcome.
- Jossed, Rift_9's mysterious boss fight is confirmed not to be Lilac or any Figment(s).
- RIFT_10: Prelude to the final battle. The party discuss what they know and any strategies for the upcoming battle. Spamton makes his final appearance and doesn't show up again until the ending.
- RIFT_11: The final boss fight with Asriel, in which Frisk, Chara, Lilac and Papyrus must fight both of Asriel's forms.
- RIFT_12: The ending.
- RIFT_13: The epilogue.
- For those wondering why these candidates are jossed: Spamton was a stage boss in the Null arc, and he's not getting a second fight according to Word of God, Papyrus is jossed because he's the stage boss of Rift 5, Napstablook is still in the Underground, Lilac -despite being a common prediction- is confirmed not to be a boss, though her soul might be tied with a future boss fight, the Figments will likely be bosses of the remaining chapters and Asriel's fight doesn't take place until Rift 11.
- Since the Asriel fight likely won't have a section for the Lost Souls (while Papyrus had his own in Rift Part 5), it's possible that the mystery boss fight is against none other than against the other main monsters, brought back for a showdown against the trio. Even then, it's unlikely they'd be Lost Souls as Asriel is unaware of said forms. However, if he were to bring them back as puppets, it would be a different story. Alternatively, the Memoryheads could be what harnesses them, but it's unlikely as it was only the six souls who had the ability to "release" monsters, and they only had enough willpower to free Papyrus.
- Another possibility is that it is just the Memoryheads after all. Though, the Memoryheads appear to be on good terms with the main trio and uses Spamton as their middleman to provide goods to them, so it's not clear if they'd want to fight them at all. If it is a fight, the Memoryheads would likely have to fight them "barehanded" (figuratively) unless there happens to be surplus machinery lying around in the Rift. It is possible that the Memoryheads are merely involved, but not the opponents in said fight.
- A Hopeless Boss Fight against Asriel or a being who represents Asriel's idealization of Chara?
- Photoshop Flowey (Not going to happen because it's been jossed numerous times by Word of God confirming that it wouldn't be happening. In addition, Flowey already tried that plan once in the original timeline and it didn't work, not to mention that that a Flowey boss fight has already happened twice (as himself and Effigy of Emptiness) in addition to all the references to Photoshop Flowey throughout the Null arc. Even with alternate universe shenanigans, it's doubtful that Asriel would want to risk bringing in an Eldritch Abomination that could possibly try to usurp him after they possibly destroy the heroes.
- An alternate universe version of Flowey or Asriel (Very unlikely since Asriel has no intent on becoming a Multiversal Conqueror and it's doubtful that Asriel would be desperate enough to try and sic an alternate universe version of his previous or current form on the heroes to delay them.
- Genocide Route Chara (Not happening. A Chara battle has already happened twice both as themselves and their past self in the form of Fiend of Fatality. While it might be interesting to have the heroes encounter a corrupted Chara from the end of a Genocide run, there's really no good place for such an encounter to happen and it wouldn't work with Inverted Fate's story.)
- Chara's parents (Very unlikely. While Chara's parents were stated to be abusive parents who never really cared about them, and saw them as nothing more than a symbol of their status, they're aren't as important compared to Asriel's apocalyptic plans because the story was never about them to begin with. If anything, Asriel would have no actual reason to bother creating facsimiles of them unless he wanted to spite Chara specifically and not even Asriel would go to that length just to hurt them.)
- Kris and their team (As a non-canon chapter, this would be interesting but Darkners aren't are a part of Inverted Fate's story. In addition, we've already seen younger versions of various Deltarune characters before Flowey's betrayal, and Kris appearing is jossed so that's not happening even with alternate universe shenanigans.)
- Canon Spamton NEO (It's been confirmed that they're will be no second Spamton fight, and that would very like include Spamton NEO. In addition, Asriel doesn't see IF!Spamton as a threat, and likely would think the same about canon Spamton.)
- Jevil (Asriel has no reason to assume that a character who embodies chaos would be trustworthy in any capacity in addition to deciding that the last two figments need to be less "life-like" (i.e being unable to talk back). If anything, Jevil canon or not wouldn't be worth the trouble for Asriel to summon, and that's also assuming that an IF!Jevil even exists to begin with.)
- A monstrous amalgam of every single monster in Undertale. (The Lost Souls aren't happening and Asriel wouldn't see much reason to summon or create a monster that is a monstrous fusion even if he could control such a being.)
- A Giant Space Flea from Nowhere or Lone Wolf Boss (The narration at the end of Rift_6 ask if reality can withstand the strain, implying that the RIFT's existence might be causing a strain on reality itself. It could be possible that the Rift_9 might not be a character from Undertale or Deltarune, and may be a creature that isn't related to Asriel's plans at all but only exists due to a tear in the fabric of reality.)
- A Glitch Entity (Considering that Paypyrus's escape caused a glitch in the RIFT to appear, and the narration at the end of Rift_6, it could be possible that Asriel's meddling has caused an unintended glitch to appear which could effectively destroy all of reality if left unchecked.)
- Hyperspace Is a Scary Place: (Asriel's meddling with reality has already caused Gaster Followers to appear out in the open, so it's possible that it may have other consequences such as causing other universes to leak into this one or an Eldritch Abomination to surface out of nowhere.
- RIFT_7: Denial figment. Asriel mentions creating a warm and cozy new world for Chara, but considering how he treats Frisk, it's possible that Frisk will have to experience something horrible to even things out. While Chara might get a recreation of their childhood home and green grass as far the eye can see, Frisk may get stuck in a Dark World version of the same area, filled with the bodies of those whose souls were stolen by Asriel. Furthermore, Denial is a doll-like puppet on strings, implying that Asriel will be directly controlling them, and may also be trying to deny his double standards regarding how he treats Chara and Frisk respectively.
- Mostly jossed. The location takes place in a sketched based world based on Asriel's fantasy to retreat to his childhood, though the Figment is indeed called the Doll of Denial.
- RIFT_8: Helplessness figment. The area might be based on Flowey's plans during the events of the original timeline and his defeat after the Photoshop Flowey fight. Flowey feels helpless, and is unable to handle having his worldview shattered by Frisk sparing them repeatedly despite Flowey trying to kill them. Helplessness likely represents the mounting despair and desperation of Asriel's plans falling apart and that his attempts to double down have only made things worse.
- So far, Helplessness being the final figment is confirmed, though based on things such as the track name (mus_helplessness and a few seconds of footage from the Final Arc trailer showing a black void with yellow hearts and walls showing images of the past, it could be possible that the last sub-dungeon will likely be an incomplete area that Asriel never bothered to finish and the Figment itself may resemble Flowey after his defeat at the end of the Neutral route.
- RIFT_9: The stage boss isn't a Figment and has nothing to do with Lilac. However, it's apparently special enough to be getting a playable version alongside it's eventual release. Interestingly enough, the Soundcloud OST was updated after the Inverted Fate: Final Chapters trailer which added a new track called mus_future, which might relate to the overrall theme of the episode. With the Figments defeated, Asriel decides to go ahead with his plan to create his new world, only for reality to unravel instead. Frisk, Papyrus and Chara end up in a Bad Future where Asriel's new world is nothing but emptiness and desolate ruins. Despite Asriel's plans, the RIFT collapsed, killing everyone inside and ended up wiping out all life on the planet aside from the Gaster Followers, who now await the return of their master.
- RIFT_10: Frisk, Chara and Papyrus return to the present time, though Asriel is none too pleased to see them back. Asriel is busy manifesting his new world into reality, unaware that his meddling with reality can only end in disaster. As a result, it's a mad dash to Asriel as the boundaries between the old and new worlds begins to collapse.
- RIFT_11: The final battle with Asriel. All that is known is about this is that Asriel has 2 forms, both battles being in the same video.
- 0:00 - Megalovania (Chara's theme)
- 0:35 - It's Raining Somewhere Else
- 0:53 - sans.
- 2:38 - MeGaLoVania (Vriska's theme not Chara's)
- 2:55 - Dating Start
- 3:13 - Heartache
- 3:30 - Megalovania (Chara's theme)
The opening piano solo is definitely a bit of Megalovania (Chara's theme), implying the song has some relation to them. Since their character is much more fleshed out than in the game, it is likely a major plot event. Given how they have stated that they aren't the biggest fan of being dead, perhaps the song plays if they get a physical body?
- Actually, some have noticed that in every track even tangentially related to Sans, Megalovania plays in some capacity, and indeed quite a few motifs related to Sans play throughout the entire spoiler track. Not every AU creator leaves Megalovania as Chara's motif.
- Jossed, as Dorked explicitly stated that IF uses MEGALOVANIA as a motif for Sans instead of Chara, with “Once Upon A Time” and “Undertale (beta)” being used for Chara instead.
- See the below WMG for the canon explanation.
- But the humans, whether they were spared or not, could not still be alive — the monsters still possess six human souls, meaning that all the humans to fall since Chara have died.
- Jossed. The updated version of the track is used for a scene where a distraught Frisk tries to fight their way to the souls while Sans holds them back and Papyrus tries to talk them down.
- For bonus points, Undyne may actually be aware that this is a sore spot for Frisk — and in deliberately using that to try and manipulate them into making mistakes, further continues slipping further away from any legitimate claim of heroism. For what kind of 'hero' banks on a 'villain' showing mercy, care, and compassion towards others?
- Jossed. Mettaton "willingly" fights Frisk, but only to distract Undyne and give Frisk an opening to escape. Undyne ends up cutting off Frisk's escape with the Determinator.
This was written shortly after Part 49 released. Here, we can see Undyne having a Villainous Breakdown similiar to the one Flowey had at the end of the Neutral Run. And while it may seem she has given up on killing Frisk after various Monsters said they don't want Frisk dead, nothing could be further from the truth: Undyne says she doesn't care if people hate her, it's worth it if the Monsters reach the surface, and is willing to die for it.
While we don't know how Toriel is gonna react during her boss fight, it's rather clear she doesn't want to kill Frisk. So, while the boss fight with her is happening, Undyne will repair herself after the fight. After that, she absorbs the human SOULs to become something similiar to Photoshop Flowey (maybe more stable as she isn't as insane as him?) and kill Frisk once and for all.
- Jossed. Undyne is chilling in the True Lab while Flowey absorbs the human souls.
- I don't think chilling means running into the true lab full of monster amalgamations for unknown purposes, but to each their own.
- Jossed. His plan is to permanently separate Chara's SOUL from Frisk's, and bring them back to life by reviving their body and putting the SOUL into it. He also breaks the barrier and heads for the nearby city on the surface, with the implication that he plans to get revenge against humanity for causing his death, and to create a new world.
- Jossed. While Napstablook does appear in null_4, they don't do much other than offer a few words to Frisk and Chara, preferring to stay back. In fact, neither they nor Lilac become Guest Star Party Members.
- Going on from that, if he does release the monsters, Papyrus won't be included, as another way to spite Frisk by keeping their best friend from them.
- Jossed in the case of Papyrus, who is released by the six human SOULs.
- Partially jossed. The six human SOULs do indeed help Papyrus in return for his kindness, but they do so by protecting him from being fully absorbed and eventually freeing him, at the cost of themselves getting fully absorbed so they can no longer rebel.
- Partially jossed, Word of God has said that Chara is with Frisk in the Ruins, and Asriel has not reset the timeline just yet but has still altered the world in some way. However, he could cause resets later on.
- In a roundabout way, some parts of this did come true in Rift 2. While the fake canon timeline didn't happen, Rift 2 does take place in a golden cathedral filled with Asriel cultists who worship Asriel as a god and Chara as an angel. Also Chara does call Asriel out on his selfishness and hypocrisy during the fight with Effigy of Ego.
- Zigzagged. According to Word of God, Dorked prefers to allow characterization to speak for itself and thus the color isn't necessarily linked to the "trait."
- Jossed. Lilac's SOUL is revealed to not be green, but lilac (the color). Like mentioned above, this SOUL color is not tied to any "trait".
- In the Final Arc intro, the human SOULs are shown floating toward the sky. While it could be inferred that he had absorbed them, the imagery brings to mind hearts floating up to join the artificial Kingdom Hearts from Kingdom Hearts, also featured heavily in Dorked's Kingdom Hearts fanfic Antipode.
- The method Asriel harnesses the human SOULs from the city's residents could be similar to the Kingdom Hearts, with the ominous floating orb featured heavily in NULL's credits actually containing a massive collection of human SOULs floating around, which Asriel would be able to use to alter reality further and open the RIFT, like how he did during the postcredits of null_5.
- Jossed. Word of God states Asriel has absorbed all the spare human SOULs, with only Lilac's SOUL remaining unabsorbed. On the other hand, the "ominous sphere" was just The Rift in its earliest stages. While the Rift seemingly features floating human SOULs around the place, Word of God confirmed its merely an aesthetic choice.
- Jossed. Rift_7 takes place in a sketch based recreation of Asriel's childhood memories of his meeting with Chara.
