You're just an ordinary person... or so you thought. For your entire life, you've been narrowly avoiding death by pure luck... or is it something more? When a strange program suddenly appears on your computer, and someone claiming to be the Grim Reaper says he's come for your soul, your life as you know it is thrown upside down.
As you delve deeper into the mysterious man that calls himself the Grim Reaper, you begin to wonder if fate brought you two together for a reason. Can you resist his charm, or will you fall for the one destined to take your soul?
A Date with Death is a supernatural romance chat simulator visual novel about the week long bet you enter against the Grim Reaper to attempt to keep your soul. Create your own character, from appearance to pronouns, decorate your apartment, and spend the (possible) last week of your life getting to know the one hunting for your soul.

Build your own protagonist, from their physical appearance to their pronouns and name. Update them throughout the game!

Decorate your apartment to your liking and create a cozy space that you'll love coming back to.
💀 Pet Your Furry (or scaley?) Companion:
Yes, you can pet the dog. Snuggle up with your furry friend and let their cute antics help you unwind
💀 Choices That Matter:
Make decisions that will affect your character's fate and lead you to one of multiple possible endings. What kind of relationship will you have with the Grim Reaper

The expansion DLC for A Date with Death is a way to support the (free!) game's development and get a few extras.

wahha guys is it normal for an error to pop up when u click the game on windows? this happened to me with another game and its telling me that its unsafe for me to play it and that it might put my pc in danger.
Yeah, it can happen on Windows, it's a false positive! If you're worried, you can also download it on Steam :D
Genuinely loved this game so much I finished my 1st playthrough here and immediately jumped to steam to purchase the DLC. I'm so excited to experience more of the story. Absolutely bummed though that I was just a few days off of being able to get the vinyl figure & a month off the plushies but i'll have to keep my eyes out for if you ever decide to make more stuff from this game. Adore it. New comfort game 1000000% !!

i absolutely recommend it, it's highly interactive and the chemistry/dynamic between MC and Grim is amazing
10/10 would flirt with the Grim Reaper again UwU
also i thought the Grim named his axolotl plushie after the player character but it turns out that's the actual name the devs gave the plushie, my go to name for my OC in visual novels or any games that is required for you to name your character is 'Azrael' so i was pretty surprised XD

played this game almost year ago, honestly made me think about this game ever since- its perfect for everyone to play, character is extremely likable and dialogue options are ideal. Everything about this game is 10/10

Truly one of the best visual novels I played in quite some time. It's visually stunning, too. I laughed out loud several times. All the love to the devs, anxiously awaiting the dlc

3 things:
1- I love this game and its amazing and id totally recommend.
2- I have played this game i think more than 5 times tbh and i have yet to get this "marriage ending or ending 5" is it an actual ending pepole are getting, because ive been following guides and i have not gotten the ending once. ( i did not watch the videos cuz i wanna experience the ending my self) but like joking about the soul baby, meeting the in- laws and the shotgun wedding and yet no ending 5 for me??

3- If we wernt blessed with life or whatever the players thing is, would our fate be like the neighbours and the reapers?
Would we reincarnate and forget everything and Casper would be punished every lifetime? Or is the neighbours subplot like an AU???

I loved the game, I managed to get ending 3 and it is beautiful.
I loved the fact that I can customize everything, and the game felt very comfortable because of that. Without a doubt it became one of my favorite romance games!:D

Finished in two days and loved the story, the soundtracks and everything else, also, I enjoyed how you can make the MC snarky and sarcastic, I got the marriage ending and I could not be more satisfied, hope there's a dlc where we can have those little soul babies that I kept teasing him about it, because if it happens that man is going to be full time stressed and the mc is going to tease him about it lol

i honestly came into this not expecting myself to enjoy it so much but i've just finished my first playthrough and got ending five that i truly was shocked to get LOL.
it is such a well-made game with a truly awesome amount of customization right out the box. the way it's written is very current and feels natural unlike some visual novels that struggle with balancing the sandbox vs. rail-roading feel throughout.
i could go on endlessly about how much i enjoyed this game but i just enjoyed it a staggering amount. phenomenal. i can't wait to get the DLC.

I LOVE THE GAME. I can't believe it's free! the commenting is so funny :3 i just struggle to get any other ending than 3 even after like 3 attempts lol. but it's really great, tysm for this game! i love how you can choose the pronouns, gender and compliments! i love the dialogues aswell. And I can't stop watching the first scene when you start the game..the colours, the music..one of my favourite games, especially of the visual novel ones.
