    Today we’ve announced an agreement to sell our Naval Propulsion and Handling business to Fairbanks Morse Defense, who are a respected name in the industry and principal supplier of leading marine technologies. This sale supports the strategic priorities we announced last year to guide our focus moving forward and help us become a high performing, competitive, resilient and growing business. In Defense, the focus is on strategic growth in the areas of combat, transport and submarines. With more than 3,400 engines delivered, the AE 3007 is a proven, in-production engine currently in the U.S. Air Force inventory with an active, established supply chain and over 70 million operational hours. The full civil and military AE 3007 fleet enjoys a greater than 99% dispatch rate, powering military aircraft such as the Northrop Grumman R-Q4 Global Hawk and MQ-4C Triton, as well as the Boeing MQ-25 Stingray.     Decades of service and millions of hours 🎉 Today, we’re excited to share the historic milestones of the T56 and AE 2100 engines – the powerplants for the United States Air Force the iconic C-130 Hercules. In the 70 years since its first flight, the T56 engine has amassed more than 220 million service hours, a rare occurrence in aviation history. First flying in 1954, the T56 powers C-130H Hercules, which is still flying as part of the longest continuous military aircraft production run in history. Since entering service in 1994, the AE 2100 engine has reached 10 million hours, powering the tactical airlift workhorse of the Air Force: The C-130J Super Hercules. The AE 2100 is part of the AE engine family – a versatile, proven engine core with more than 88 million flight hours known for a record of dependable and efficient service across military and commercial fleets around the world. These engines are robust, reliable, and ready for anything. The T56 and AE 2100 have powered aircraft carrying troops, life-saving equipment, and humanitarian supplies to demanding environments in every corner of the world.
