Hello I request this edit, to change the synopsis like this: “In Captain America: Civil War, disagreement over international oversight of the Avengers fractures the team into two opposing factions—one led by Steve Rogers and the other by Tony Stark (Downey). Meanwhile, vengeful mastermind Helmut Zemo plans to get revenge on the Avengers because of the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron”. I wanted to make this change because the synopsis of films often mentions the main antagonist and its plans. Example: “The film follows race car Lightning McQueen (Wilson) and tow truck Mater (Cable Guy), who head to Japan and Europe to compete in the World Grand Prix, but Mater accidentally becomes sidetracked with international espionage, and ends up attempting to uncover a conspiracy led by a mysterious criminal mastermind and his gang which threatens all competitors in the Grand Prix, with the help of British spies Finn McMissile (Caine) and Holley Shiftwell (Mortimer).” It’s the synopsis of Cars 2, the “mysterious criminal mastermind” is Sir Miles Axlerod. 66.103.11.103 (talk) 17:35, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I request to edit the synopsis, what is about the movie like this “The Avengers become fractured into two opposing teams, one led by Steve Rogers and another by Tony Stark, after extensive collateral damage prompts politicians to pass an act regulating superhuman activity with government oversight and accountability for the Avengers while also facing against a new enemy, Helmut Zemo, who seeks revenge upon the Avengers.” This way is to reflect that the main antagonist is Helmut Zemo, just like that IP did it one month ago, with that example with Cars 2, he mentioned that the main antagonist is a mysterious criminal mastermind. 190.63.115.254 (talk) 17:00, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The premise in the lede is a brief introduction to what the film is about, and should not be a full synopsis of sorts. That's why we have the plot summary, to explain what happens in the film. Trailblazer101 (talk) 17:30, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, at least can you put the premise with my way but shortened? Trust me, it will be worth it. With this way we can reflect better to the audience that Zemo is the real mastermind behind the plot and Iron Man is the anti-heroic central antagonist. 190.63.115.254 (talk) 17:38, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In other non-protected articles, your premise edits are not "worth it". Here you change "unknown hijackers" to "unknown carjackings", which makes no sense in context and perhaps anytime. Here and here you introduce fragmented wording, and here (2) you reintroduce cast that was introduced the previous sentence. First impressions matter here. 70.163.208.142 (talk) 13:48, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Given we as of yet do not know if Evans will return as Rogers, but we do know he returned to the MCU for Deadpool & Wolverine, I'm wondering if it actually would be beneficial to move the Deadline report of Evans returning there. Given the timing of that report, it is very likely who ever tipped Deadline off noted Evans was returning to a MCU project and naturally the first conclusion is he's returning as Cap. If we don't fully move, at the very least maybe we move that report source to the DP&W article regardless. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:14, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it would be okay to add it in the post-production section of Deadpool & Wolverine, something like "Evans was previously reported to be appearing..." - adamstom97 (talk) 20:22, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think it makes sense to keep what we have here since it reflects the fact that he has (so far) decided not to return as Cap but was happy to come back as Johnny for a brief appearance. I don't think the majority of the paragraph is relevant to Deadpool & Wolverine. - adamstom97 (talk) 19:44, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
