Don't forget the Hand

[edit]

Don't forget the Hand over in Daredevil and Elektra as the inspiration for the Foot.

Pokemon

[edit]

I cut the following text, added by an unregistered user, because it really seems like a hoax. Unfortunately, I know jack shit about pokemon, so I'm not sure. So I'm posting it here, so someone more knowledgeable in the issue can confirm or deny its veracity. -- Ritchy 02:18, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

THE FOOT ON POKEMON
The Foot clan makes an appearance on Pokemon. As an organization who want 2 things: To rule the world and to rid the Earth of all Pokemon. Like in TMNT their leader is Oroku Saki. They are a global organization and use technology that they created. They take in young people and train them not only how to fight, but to hate Pokemon. For a time (3 years actually)Ash Ketchum was not only a member, but a general in their army. They are at times, bitter rivals of Team Rocket, but they do associate with them at times as well. Unlike Team Rocket, Team Magma and Team Aqua, they have branched out everywhere. The Kanto League, the Orange Islands, Johto and even Hoenn. They are a dangerous group and should never be under estimated.

big pokemon fan, never heard of foot clan in 100+ hours of watching.Leomk (Don't shout here, Shout here!) 08:08, 24 November 2021 (UTC)PS: Pokemon doen't have that much pop culture references[reply]

Foot Symbol

[edit]

The article currently reads in the Eastman and Laird section that the symbol for the Foot is a drawing of left foot. However, is the picture in the same section is any indication, the symbol is either a left footprint or a right foot (seen from the sole). What should be noted as the symbol, then? T.J. Animated (2003) Foot a meritocracy?

[edit]

While I don't disagree that the underworld members of the Foot seem to be organized in a meritocracy, I don't think it's entirely accurate to classify the entire organization, which comprises a multitude of skills and fields, as one. Are Foot Engineers (the ones in the gray uniforms and the funny headgear) higher- or lower-ranked than Mystics (who, given their status as unwilling slaves, are arguably the lowest-ranked of the Foot, despite their power). Are the two ninjas attached to Karai of higher or lower rank than the Foot Elite? Also, it bears mentioning that Hun's legitimate position of "bodyguard" was much lower than Karai's own "C.E.O.'s Daughter and Heiress to the company" one, despite they being roughly equivalent in rank among the ninja. Until more detailed information is obtained, I think it would be innacurate to classify the entire organization as a meritocracy.

My suggestion? A simple list of all the known subsections of the Foot (Purple Dragons, Foot Ninja, Tech Ninja, Engineers, Employees (the ones in the blue jumpsuits, who seem to be the "regular joes" of the company) Elite, Mystics, Pilots, Marine Unit, and the higher-ups (Hun, Karai, The Shredder), with brief information on each of them, without necesarily abscribing rank to any of them (except, I suppose, to those where the rank is known, like The Shredder).

That's a good point. The show never actually specifies that the Foot is a meritocracy, and it would be speculation to describe it as such. I rewrote the text to remove these notions. -- Ritchy 23:32, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TMNT2003EliteGuard.jpg

Image:TMNT2003EliteGuard.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
