Shows

[edit]

I'm wondering if the shows section is necessary. She's been touring for a number of years, and we haven't included this information for past shows. If we do decide to include this wouldn't it be better to create a separate article? Or are her tours given names (like, for example, Adele, with Adele Live 2016), and perhaps we could create articles based on those. I know she toured extensively after releasing Wild, so that could be a good place to start perhaps. Any thoughts? This is Paul (talk) 14:58, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My feeling is that the shows section is contrary to WP:Recentism and WP:Undue. She is not a particularly well-known artist, however her live performances possibly exceed the 'worth' of her recorded work. Nevertheless, it is more detail than a standard encyclopedic work would include, and her tours alone are probably not notable. I think this section needs deleting or, at least, drastically reducing in the detail it includes.

Agree with that. She's not a household name, although it turns out she has recently supported Foreigner, so there's probably some worth in having a section that covers information like that, but the tour dates should go. That list is incomplete anyway. For example, she plays The Robin 2 in Bilston this autumn (I'm actually going to see her with a friend) and that isn't mentioned. It might be better if other editors joined this debate - but I would guess it is not on many's watchlist. Anyhow, I have removed the shows section, but added a reference regarding her supporting Foreigner, and spruced up the latter-day text.

Fantastic, looks much better now. Hopefully a few others have this on their watchlist so can join the debate. This is Paul (talk) 22:40, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
