Arrested Development image

[edit]

Is her character on Arrested Development cross-eyed? If not, I'm sure a more flattering image could be located. 23skidoo 06:56, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hehe, she's meant to be cross-eyed when she takes off her spectacles. But I agree, she's quite a nice-looking woman, and I'm sure there are better images out there. — riana_dzastatce 06:04, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
At the very least it needs to be explained that the character is cross-eyed, not the actress. In fact, I really think that image is inappropriate and misleading and am going to follow the Be Bold principle and remove it altogether. I think this is a case where better no image at all than one like this. It's ugly and it gives the impression that the actress is cross-eyed. Wikipedia is a very widely seen website and more care needs to be taken in the choice of images. 23skidoo 13:44, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Current Image

[edit]

I'm surprised another unflattering image has been chosen. Perhaps another can be chosen? --74.108.160.247 (talk) 03:51, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion??

[edit]

Hello everbody, I've added a cleanup tag because this article lacks a lot of info to qualify as a wikipedia article. It only offers a filmography, which is also available at imdb, and history concerning the actress is non-existant. I've also noticed that the birthplace is given as Livonia, Michigan while at imdb and the other external link tv.com it's given as Detroit, Michigan so which one is it?? I favor deletion, does anybody else share this viewpoint? Thank you -- Witchinghour 15:46, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the article could be improved, but I see no reason to delete it. She obviously exist and should be notable by any reasonable standard. Bergsten 10:27, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The fact an article is a stub is not valid criteria for deletion. She's a notable actress with plenty of credits. Some articles sit as stubs for years before someone gets around to expanding them. As noted above, though, I did delete the image as it was really terrible for an article like this. I also changed the tag from Cleanup (there really isn't anything to clean up) to the more appropriate Expand. 23skidoo 13:48, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

30 Rock Appearance

[edit]

Is there ANY source contending that she appeared in an episode of 30 Rock? "IMDB is not a reliable source", while maybe true, is not in any way a good defense of the protection of UNSOURCED claims. See [1] Scjohnno (talk) 17:02, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Huh?

[edit]

This article states: "American actress, known for portraying a string of female characters" Really? An actress who plays female characters - how unique! Sort of like a female version of, say, an actor. Now, if she could only expand her range and start playing male characters, now that would be something to see... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.129.224.141 (talk) 06:01, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Year The Descendants Came Out

In What Women Want

[edit]

If I'm not mistaken, Judy Greer also appears as the suicidal ignored girl in What Women Want. 1.124.85.81 (talk) 09:51, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That role is already listed in the filmography. --Logical Fuzz (talk) 13:19, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Project Chimps Controversy

[edit]

I wish to add the following section. It relates to Ms. Greer and her role as a Board member of Project Chimps.

Greer is a member of the Board of Directors of Project Chimps, a sanctuary for former research chimpanzees funded in large part by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Since early 2020, animal rights organizations, including the Nonhuman Rights Project and PETA , have criticized Project Chimps and HSUS over the mistreatment of the chimpanzees at the sanctuary. In October 2020, several animal rights groups sent Ms. Greer a letter which details the allegations and solicits her engagement on the issue. To date, Ms Greer has neither responded to the letter nor acknowledged the allegations.

None of the references above meet the bar for an article on Judy Greer, aside from the fact that she is a board member (which has remained). These are relevant for the main article on Project Chimps, but there is no reference to anything that Greer has been involved with. Removing for non-relevance and possible NPOV.
