2016 World Champion

[edit]

Feeling thrilled after shaking hands with the 2016 World Champion sitting at the desk in front of me. Ad Huikeshoven (talk) 13:12, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Formula

[edit]

One of the formulas is: New Rating = (Old Rating) + (KT) x (Player's Result - (Average Result x Old Rating / Average Tournament Old Rating))

What exactly is meant by "Average Tournament Old Rating"? Bob.v.R (talk) 10:00, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Further remark: in www.wfcc.ch the used formulas are more complex than in the article. The formulas in the article (current version of the article) look inconsistent with the formulas on the website. Bob.v.R (talk) 07:39, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have updated the formula section, according to the reference. Bob.v.R (talk) 07:11, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Formulas (again)

[edit]

The formulas aren't clearly relevant to the topic of the article, which is about the Championship. Suggestion: Either explain how ratings enter into the World Chess Solving Championship (specifically), or remove them to an article that deals with World Chess Composition ratings (again, specifically). Format

[edit]

This part of the article has the feel of being time-dependent. Was the format described used at the very start of the championships, and has remained the same since then? Or does it describe some recent championship (if so which?). If there have been changes over time, what were they, and when did they occur? Athulin (talk) 05:57, 16 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
