iPad Pro generations
[edit]This page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad_Pro) claims that the 2020 iPad Pro is "4th generation". While Apple calls it (in the list of models on its official website) "2nd generation" for 11inch model and "4th generation" only for the 12.9inch model.
I am not sure how it works here, it's my first time editing Wikipedia... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kowaraj (talk • contribs) 12:34, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
iPad 2 release
[edit]Someone needs to add the iPad 2 release and the different Verizon and AT&T 3G iPads. I have no idea how to do it. Democraticmacguitarist (talk) 22:29, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
iPad 2 still being sold
[edit]The iPad 2 is still being sold alongside the iPad 3, so that needs to be reflected in this template! -m-i-k-e-y-Talk / C 11:21, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
Issue with template
[edit]I don't if it's just me but the template isn't displaying properly, in its place is a image of a broken file or link. There doesn't seem to be a problem with the previous edits either. YuMaNuMa Contrib 14:04, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
Renaming the titles, adding mini
[edit]The timeline is getting crowded. I propose we
- Get rid of "Wi-Fi", as all iPad has them, its redundant.
- Shorten "Cellular" to "Cell", or even type (3G, 4G, LTE, etc)
- Use full Apple name, as the generation sequence is listed elsewhere
- Add Mini to color list
I will start this later today if I see no changes. Flightsoffancy (talk) 14:47, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
New iPad
[edit]Time to update. iPad mini 4 is now being sold at 128GB only. Other storage sizes were discontinued. iPad Air 2 was also discontinued and replaced by iPad. It's depth is the same as iPad Air 1st generation. You may refer to Apple website for full details.
P.S. The iPad mini 2 was also discontinued, leaving iPad Pro (12.9" and 9.7"), iPad mini 4 (128GB), and the new iPad (9.7") They probably run out of names.

Do the storage capacity bars add value?
[edit]This chart has become quite unwieldy as the number of models has increased over time. This is partly due to all the additional bars covering different storage capacities, where it is not always obvious which model they relate to. Is that data actually useful in the contexts where this chart is shown?
Stripping out the capacities would result in a more concise chart, which might even be able to be rendered with a more readable font size. --James (talk) 05:58, 11 September 2019 (UTC)
- @JamesHenstridge: here's what that would look like, if you're still interested. BLAIXX 17:12, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
- That looks massively more readable than the current version. No more overlapping text, and gives a better overview of the product line. --James (talk) 06:09, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
Accessibility
[edit]@Blaixx: Per your suggestion, I've lightened the colors and added better contrast. Do you think this helps accessibility? —GoldRingChip 11:59, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
- Looks much better now, thanks! BLAIXX 12:05, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
Break in iPad 4 Sales
[edit]This graphic shows that iPad 4 was not sold for a period from 2013–2014 before being put back on sale. Is this correct? There is nothing about it in the iPad 4 article. Asdfninethousand (talk) 21:10, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
