- Hi Jeffgurlstein, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here. Can I suggest reading WP:Your first article, for an overview of things to consider?
- After a brief look at your GFEM page I have identified the following main issues:
- The article does not cite reliable, third-party sources. These are required in order to verify the information and notability of the subject.
- Although I've seen far more egregious examples, the article does come across as promotional. It also seems to contain a degree of corporate buzzspeak, rather than stating plain facts.
- Check our policy on external links - these should be limited to the end of the article, and only when directly relevant - the article contains far more than needed at present.
- Are you personally affiliated with the organisation? If so, also read our guidelines on editing with a conflict of interest.
- The first of these issues is the biggest concern, however - and I would advise you to search for some appropriate sources before doing any further work on the article. If you need any further help:
- Leave a message on my talk page; or
- Use another {{helpme}} here; or
- Talk to us live, with this or this.
- Also, while you work on the article it should be in a user subpage, rather than on your userpage - the userpage is just for giving a little information about yourself, if you choose to do so. I've moved the article on your behalf and it is now at User:Jeffgurlstein/Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media. ∙ AJCham(talk) 18:04, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media
[edit]The article Grantmakers in Film and Electronic Media has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- purely internally-sourced promotion
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
