Thanks for uploading Image:ValeaViseului.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

License tagging for Image:Viseu.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Viseu.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:ValeaViseului.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ValeaViseului.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:10, 9 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 03:10, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Colegiul Naţional de Informatică Tudor Vianu page was deleted

[edit]

Hello, i started the article about Tudor Vianu National College, one of the best high schools in Romania, and you deleted the page. The page was not finished, I saved the page only to be sure that the information will not be lost if my computer have a failure. I want to know why the page was deleted and also if I can write this page. Thank You.

--Razvanflorian (talk) 11:21, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Colegiul Naţional de Informatică Tudor Vianu was deleted under criterion 3 under articles in our criteria for speedy deletion, because it did not contain any actual content. Please don't create articles without at least a few sentences of prose about the subject. If you want to work on pages that are incomplete, use a user subpage. I've placed the contents of the article at User:Razvanflorian/Colegiul Naţional de Informatică Tudor Vianu and when you are finished you can move it to the article namespace. Romanian-Hungarian

[edit]

Hi Razvan! Sorry to disturb you privately. You're doing a great job with Romanian players. I'm a football researcher and I work mainly with World Cup players, so I'd like to ask you a (not so) little thing: is there a way to know if a Romanian player was born with an Hungarian-like name/surname? Thank you, this issue is tormenting me! --necronudist (talk) 14:32, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good. Romanian football history is one of richest in the whole Europe and one of the less publicized. So, there's no way to know if a player was born with a Romanian or Hungarian name... I'm wondering from months if it is possible. Nobody ever researched for them? Strange...! However thank you for your help! --necronudist (talk) 15:25, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you also for the articles, have you thought about adding Raffinsky article to WP:DYK? As for the Hungarian-Romanian issue, I think many players back then in the 1930s were Ethnic Hungarians. It is a similar situation with Czechoslovakia, where I live(d). Many players between World Wars there were from various ethnic minorities, mostly from German which was the elite of these times. Same situation was in Poland with Scherfke and Willimowski most notable cases. Was Raffinsky also Hungarian? He died in Cluj-Napoca which was (and still is) a strong centre of the Hungarian minority. - Darwinek (talk) 21:19, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But it's really strange that nobody ever researched to know if (e.g.) Raffinsky was born as Laszlo or Ladislau...! We should be sure about them! Another example: for me Nicolae Covaci was born as Miklós Kovács, it's pretty likely. It would be simple to check! --necronudist (talk) 09:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, very interesting - this historical ethnic stuff. I would bet these players were born with Hungarian names, if they were born in the Austria-Hungary, as Hungarians were the ruling ethnic group in their part of the empire. After 1918 it becomes more complicated as assimilation policies of almost all European countries affected also names of people. That's probably why Romania players of Hungarian ethnicity played under their Romanianized names. Same situation was in Czechoslovakia and Poland, from my experience. Thanks for editing such articles, Razvan. It is really much interesting. I would also bet there were Germans and even Jews in the national team. Rudolf Bürger sounds quite German, as Samuel Zauber Jewish. - Darwinek (talk) 09:36, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It would be great! Thank you Razvan! Apart from the single examples, there should be a way to know the correct form of a player's name at birth. As this is a common issue, maybe a book about Romanian-Hungarian in both national teams, or something like. I remember there was a Romanian online newspaper who wrote a brief article about that. There should be references, I can't believe nobody ever researched on this issue. However, thank you again! Let me know, please! Darwinek, you're right. This issue must be investigated, it's interesting and relevant in Romanian football history. Is an important piece of Romanian national team heritage...I really can't believe there's no research. --necronudist (talk) 09:40, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Salut, Razvanflorian!

I would like to transfer the images you uploaded for this article to Wikimedia Commons, so that they can be also used for articles in other languages. But you didn't give any other information than the pure license tag "PD-self", which is not sufficient for Commons. So could you please add more information to the images such as

  • author (the photos were taken by you, I guess, but this must be stated clearly, e.g. by adding "self made/taken by me, User:XY"),
  • date (stating the year is enough, in case you can't remember the precise date), and a
  • short description (what do you see on an image; I can take some descriptions from the article, but you probably know better what is pictured, e.g. which place is it on Image:Vviseului3.jpg … name of the mountain, perhaps the location where you took the shot from, etc.).

Many thanks in advance :-) --:bdk: 06:55, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

Hi. I´ve notest that in some articles, like Mike Temwanjera, you receved a note of adding sources. As I´m reserching players that have played in Serbia, I came to Mike article and, I hope you dont mind, I´ve added as source a Mike Temwanjera page in Transfermarkt website. It has the basic information about the player, and that is what is needed in this case. You can add more if you want. I hope you continue to make good articles and if you need help about serbian or portuguese football feel free to ask me. FkpCascais (talk) 05:39, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanx. I will ask you if I need. Some weeks ago I needed a list of romanian players that have played in serbia, so I went to this super website www.romaniansoccer.ro , and I use it when I need. I´ve noted that all the information in the aticles we write is much better protected when the sources are numbered, so nobody can bother you about what you wrote. Some guys delete articles without sources, and as they may not be familiarized with the players or teams in question, they may really delete them! FkpCascais (talk) 15:25, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Razvanflorian! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 7 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 331 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Hi Razvan. I´m really sorry I haven´t unswered to you before, but I had some problems. First I was a week blocked for some "dirty political games" I entered, but all is fine now. I will try to gather information to you as soon as possible. About some club fusions in Serbia, you can see the bottom of the page in the List of foreign football players in Serbia, there I wrote some top league club changes. Concerning the league format, I think it has been this way since 2006, but I am not sure and I will check this. I will try to gather this information to you as soon as I can, or at least tell you where you can find it. In the meanwhile, you can post me some other questions you might have.

I hope you had nice Easter hollydays. Wish you all the best! FkpCascais (talk) 05:45, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Marius Postolache has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. File permission problem with File:Balgradean.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Balgradean.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bulwersator (talk) 22:05, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Marmatia.gif

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Marmatia.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:56, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Tucudean123.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
