Hello, ThaFDA,
Do not attack or insult other editors, even if you think it is a joke. One of the pillars of Wikipedia is treating other editors with civility and respect, even when we disagree. Plus attacking other editors is a quick way to get blocked and I'm assuming you want to edit here more than a few hours or you wouldn't have created this account.

Speedy deletion nomination of ThaFDA

[edit]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as ThaFDA, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Green Day - Foot In Mouth.webp. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 14:37, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Kirby novel banner.webp

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kirby novel banner.webp. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 00:22, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the picture, hopefully I fixed the problem, if not, let me know and i'll see it again. Whatcha gotta say? :) -ThaFDA (talk) 01:40, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks â€“ you did fix the problem for the image itself, but now Kirby (novel series) has been moved to draftspace, where non-free images are not permitted. I've tagged it (and sent the message below) because of its use on Kirby (series). If the file is deleted as unsuitable for that article, you can re-upload it if/when Draft:Kirby (novel series) is moved back to mainspace. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:13, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed that you moved the article to draftspace yourself. Just so you know, if you want to delete an article that you recently created (and nobody else has significantly contributed to), you can add {{db-author}} to request its deletion. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:15, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, as an alternative to deletion, you can replace an article with a redirect to a section of a different article that covers the topic. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:17, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:InsomniacDeluxe.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:InsomniacDeluxe.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:03, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Kirby novel banner.webp

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Kirby novel banner.webp. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:07, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify: you did add a fair use rationale for the file's use on Kirby (novel series), but that article does not currently exist. The file is also used on Kirby (series), but there is no fair use rationale for its use there. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:08, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thank you for your edit to this article. Just so you know, we are required to put quotation marks when you directly quote a source without paraphrasing. Thanks, QuicoleJR (talk) 13:50, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:HIYAITSBILL.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
